The way I understood it, transfer fees are amortized over length of contract signed. £60M on 5 year contract is £12M against a season. Signing in Jan is HALF a season, so only £6M booked to 2017/18 season.

I could see us playing a 4-2-3-1 with a double pivot in order to have an option to put all of KDB, Silva, and Gundo/B. Silva on the pitch. Would be very narrow but might be a type of option we'd like to have.

Quite possibly. Maybe me using the word “must” was a bit strong but it wouldn’t surprise me if we had an element of thinking it makes sense to not take the risk with those corrupt twats trying to fuck us.

We will definitely buy a “forward” player in the summer, highly likely from the way Pep spoke that it will be someone who can play right across the front line - someone of the ilk of Griezmann.

If Sergio stays we won’t go for a striker.

It will be a wide forward who can play all the positions up front most likely.

I think/hope we'll get someone like Griezmann next season who can play across the front 3 with Aguero for 18/19 and then Aguero probably leaves in summer 2019, or maybe finds peace with being rotated and stays, or maybe becomes the ultimate Pep striker and stays.

If we don't get someone versatile, jnust an out and out striker, this summer I assume Aguero will push for a move away.

He's looking much better recently though, hopefully he can keep up this form.

Not sure accounting came into it, this he meant we want 3 or 4 for next season and if we get 2 now it will be less work to get done in a world cup summer.
