How does that work from an accounting perspective? They're different financial years.

Regardless of when the deal is agreed or the money is paid, the contracts will hit the books and start to be amortized from the date on which the contract commences. If the contract commences part way through the financial year then the amount that would hit the P&L in that particular year would be pro rated.

In the event we paid money for Fred now, but he didn't arrive until the summer (I believe our financial year end is June 30th), then that cash movement would be treated as a prepayment and wouldn't hit our P&L in this financial year.

He's called Rhyme Animal and I fucking demolished him to such an extent the other week that the mard arse twat stuck me on ignore. Not only that, he weirdly referred to himself as a "born and bred Brit" in one post which had us blues in stitches

You can tell that half of the posters on that forum aren’t even English and probably haven’t even stepped foot in a football stadium.

I don't get this oil money jibe that keeps getting levelled at City.

Surely every owner who runs a club puts money into it. The smaller ones might run a Supermarket chain, for instance, but you would not hear the head of Walmart being told it was supermarket money.

Many clubs are involved with people who have earned their money by trading between countries and so will have got rich to some extent on oil money too down the line.

Why because you actually own a lot of it does it suddenly change anything?

Given the rags are scum of the highest order the term oil money is as probably near to a racist comment you can get without actually getting there.

Not many owners have the ability, ambition or vision to change the landscape of football in it's birth place, ours have.

Cavemen will always throw stones at the sun.
