Free Gig at City tonight

I enjoyed Answering Machine and Twisted Wheel and thought Doves were excellent, as for Kid British fair play to them but they're not my cup of tea. I do tend to agree with Pardoe though that there are so many other good bands in Manchester doing some great stuff as he has already mentioned, I'll throw in Alphacode as well (guitarist a blue if it makes any difference).

Doves were brilliant as always. really impressed with the answering machine, will be downloading some of their stuff. kid british were good as well.
as for twisted wheel absolute shite imo, seen them twice now and can't for the life of me see what all the fuss is about. the sort of band that came along at the arse end of britpop riding on the coat tails of better bands. fair play for em turning up though! ha.
