Firstly, many thanks to OP and all contributors for the very gentle and top usufull service you provide through these topics.

I reckon I am a bit selfish because I am applying just now because it is the first time since long that Sky Italia do not provide for the coverage of an official season City game.

Whether any of You has time to waste on my problem, I'd be obliged to be learnt how to tune Veetle on tonight's match. I understand it may be long to explain, in the case, please do not waste time on my problem... :-)

BTW, I am browsing from Italy, got a 20mb/s provider, pointing to an open DNS and have installed the proper Veetle player v. 0.9.16. I am not registerd into the veetle website, as I hope to share as less personal info as possible on the web. Since now, If I go to <a class="postlink" href="http://www.veetle.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.veetle.com</a> and I search for sports channels (I can only find golf, zeus sport, tennis, bbball and whatever & wwe wrestling - none of them starts playing even after 2 mins. delay) . I also made sure that my McAfee antivirus is set to provide full access to veetle.
According to Veetle FAQ it should works but it doesn't. What's I am wrong?

i get the same problem and it has happened on windows vista & windows 7 with me.....for some reason it either tells me i dont have veetle player installed or it will freeze at it trys to connect....i gave up with veetle in the end and use sopcast

Yes, I forgot this pivotal info. I got Window XP, constantly updated and never experienced any problem with p2p sources.

Which one is best out of this list - sopcast/tvu/tvants/veetle/pplive/ppstream?

would have to agree that veetle is the best of the bunch at the moment, but it tends to stream like youtube still, so can be problems with buffering

sopcast is a very close second and the one i tend to use

download links: -

sopcast - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_id=66299&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffiles.brothersoft.com%2Finternet%2Fmiscellaneous%2FSopCast-3.2.4.zip" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_i ... -3.2.4.zip</a> (use winzip or winrar to unzip)

veetle - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.veetle.com/download.php/veetle-0.9.16.exe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.veetle.com/download.php/veetle-0.9.16.exe</a>

TVU - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tvunetworks.com/downloads/player.html#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tvunetworks.com/downloads/player.html#</a>

TVants - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_id=63890&url=http%3A%2F%2Fusfiles.brothersoft.com%2Finternet%2Fmiscellaneous%2FTvantsSetup.EXE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_i ... sSetup.EXE</a>

Well, Thanks heartedly "shadygiz".
I followed Your suggestion and installed Sopcast.
As a player it works. But still I do not find trace of the channel where our game will be broadcasted.
I do assume and hope is because now is too early.
The only channel related to football I find on it is "www.tvsoccer-live.com", are U aware if that would be the right one?
I'm scared because it is currently running advertising spot only, that clearly appears to be U.S. rather than U.K. so...

closer to the game, go to the first post of this thread and, like magic, there will be links to the game. If you click on those under Sopcast, the application will automatically open and lead to the channel showing to the game! hooray

Re: Free Live Stream - Stoke v City (16/02/10)

shadygiz- if i use this:

sopcast - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_i" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_i</a> ... -3.2.4.zip (use winzip or winrar to unzip)

will this work like the streaming sites where I can only watch the game live, or will i have downloaded the game and be able to watch it at a later time?

thanks

Re: Free Live Stream - Stoke v City (16/02/10)

Don't know if it's been said, but Sopcast works even better with VLC as the external media player. (VLC's buffering is better than that built in to the Sopcast player.) So install VLC first (everyone should have VLC on their PC imho - it's the best media player around anyway)

The under "Option" in Sopcast, make sure the external player is set up to be VLC.exe.

Then when you have your Sopcast stream up, launch it in an external player and VLC will pop up. To do this click on the icon 2nd to the left of the central pause button.

You'll get a much more stable stream with less lock ups and break up etc.

Re: Free Live Stream - Stoke v City (16/02/10)

What choices do us mac users have?

Is Sopcast safe to download??? My Norton 360 has just expired last week, would it be better to re-subscribe to this before downloading Sopcast. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
