Firstly, many thanks to OP and all contributors for the very gentle and top usufull service you provide through these topics.

I reckon I am a bit selfish because I am applying just now because it is the first time since long that Sky Italia do not provide for the coverage of an official season City game.

Whether any of You has time to waste on my problem, I'd be obliged to be learnt how to tune Veetle on tonight's match. I understand it may be long to explain, in the case, please do not waste time on my problem... :-)

BTW, I am browsing from Italy, got a 20mb/s provider, pointing to an open DNS and have installed the proper Veetle player v. 0.9.16. I am not registerd into the veetle website, as I hope to share as less personal info as possible on the web. Since now, If I go to http://www.veetle.com and I search for sports channels (I can only find golf, zeus sport, tennis, bbball and whatever & wwe wrestling - none of them starts playing even after 2 mins. delay) . I also made sure that my McAfee antivirus is set to provide full access to veetle.
According to Veetle FAQ it should works but it doesn't. What's I am wrong?

i get the same problem and it has happened on windows vista & windows 7 with me.....for some reason it either tells me i dont have veetle player installed or it will freeze at it trys to connect....i gave up with veetle in the end and use sopcast

Guys .. i had the same problem.

So, what i did what just download veetle again.

Clicked on the veetle links provided by Shady, and wella.

shadygiz- if i use this:

sopcast - http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_i ... -3.2.4.zip (use winzip or winrar to unzip)

will this work like the streaming sites where I can only watch the game live, or will i have downloaded the game and be able to watch it at a later time?

thanks

OKay, listen up. Ive had sopcast and Veetle.

My recommendation is get Veetle ASAP. Ive never had a prolem with it, plus it has good quality streams.

secondly, there is no unzipping and alll those shinanigans that you have stated.

IN response to MANCIO FORVER about his concern of personal information in installing Veetle, they dont ask you for personal information, and if they do you wont have to give it. A dddiotnally your email is the only thing you will need.

finally sopcast and veetle are very safe.

As always thanks for the links Shady.

Aussie thanks for the tip on Re-downloading Veetle. been having problems on a mac where mine just freezes about 5 secs after connecting. will now try and downloading again.

Cheers again lads..

What choices do us mac users have?

I use veetle with firefox as veetle doesn't support Safari 64bit.

Any of the media links will run but the quality varies. If Shadys super links don't work I also look on here : http://www.rojadirecta.com/

I've been having a nightmare recently with veetle on my mac. I download it and install it then when I try and watch a game it still says I need to download the veetle software. This is with fully updated firefox. I usually end up watching a rubbish quality stream because of this. I am running mac os x snow leopard, anyone else had similar problems?

While I'm posting here, thanks for all the links Shady.

yup...one of the main problems i have with veetle.....i open link and it asks me to download veetle, so i download and install veetle from their link and refresh page....it once again asks me to download veetle

so i go an get the stand alone player and install that, now it just constantly trys to connect to stream

that has been the same on vista and last week i updated to win7 and its still the same....the only common thing between both operating systems is i use firefox, so i'm guessing the problem with not installing veetle is a problem with firefox plugins.....but that doesnt explain the not connecting

Don't know if it's been said, but Sopcast works even better with VLC as the external media player. (VLC's buffering is better than that built in to the Sopcast player.) So install VLC first (everyone should have VLC on their PC imho - it's the best media player around anyway)

The under "Option" in Sopcast, make sure the external player is set up to be VLC.exe.

Then when you have your Sopcast stream up, launch it in an external player and VLC will pop up. To do this click on the icon 2nd to the left of the central pause button.

You'll get a much more stable stream with less lock ups and break up etc.

Many thanks Chippy_boy.
I followed straight away your worth suggestion and there is no comparison even at quality of display.
You are twicely right saying that VLC is a worth suggestion as main player to any pc.

i do similar but i use windows media player to stream....this is the default setting with sopcast. I find windows media buffers considerably better than sopcast and slightly better than VLC

Yes, thanks Aussie. I'd already solved through gentle suggestions of other posters.
However thanks again for Your kind help and salute Your marvelous Country to me. I love Australia and Aussies.

Can anyone help!!!

I love using veetle as it is by far the best, my problem is I am in university halls and I think that their internet blocks the port that veetle uses ( i think that because it works fine when I use my internet at home)

Does anyone know a way round the port blocking???

cheers
