Massive downgrade between Bernardo and De Jong... hopefully Peps comments calm some people down! Worst case scenario is if De Jong goes to the rags and Barca convince Bernardo. Then we are screwed.

Barca can convince Bernardo all they want...he is contracted through 2025...when Pep says anyone can leave if they ask to it goes without saying IF THEY PRESENT AN OFFER ACCEPTABLE TO CITY...So if Barca convinces Bernardo that he should join them, then they should be prepared to pay 85 mil minimum, even before add ons...not happening...

I think Frenkie would be happy to go down to £300,000 a week plus the big bonuses we pay for winning things but this year we just don’t need him? And if Tolmie is right and we want Bellingham next year and he’s desperate to come to us then we will do that over Frenkie

As much as they Seem to despise us - City and Dortmund could develop a very positive relationship - out totally different business models are actually complimentary. We get first option on their star players in return for them getting first refusal on our academy products to loan - or even purchase with an agreed buy back!

Dortmund is selling club, very doubtfull they will agree a deal like buy back option. That will be screwing them over, they prefer full ownership of the player with maximum amount of money can be possible to sell the player

Frankie was without a doubt class at Ajax, I was a huge fan. But in all honesty, even if he decided to lower his wages to 300k, I don't think his worth being paid that that much. We can't be bringing undeserving 300k players and for me Frenkie is underseving given that salary demand . Bernado, Foden, Jesus, and the rest of our defense aren't making anywhere nearly as much, can't risk causing unrest to the rest of the squad. I would rather us wait for Jude. De Jong hasn't been class for a couple of seasons now.

Anyway what do I know about player salaries, just another poster giving his 2cents per post and can't comprehend 300k per week.

I’d say he’s gonna stick at a club where he’s starting until the WC. I do believe, even if he signs a new deal, he’s leaving for someone next season. Dortmund will probably get a 100m + offer next summer
