Friday sick club

Played whatever FIFA is called now (Denmark v Wales) whilst breakfast stuff was in soak. Asda once the washing machine finishes and then a lazy afternoon.

Back to it on Monday but it’s been rather nice!

In response to a few folk.
Nope, I have never worked a 13 hour shift in A+E. Not what I trained for, nor the job I have ever applied for or have. Appreciate it must be a tough slog, heartbreaking at times and on weekend nights full of inconsiderate dick heads.

We don't have sick pay, don't work don't get paid your choice. Annoying in a way as it means people bring all sorts of illness in to work and we all have to get it and suffer.

I know agency staff often don’t get sick pay but I don’t believe I’ve heard of that from contracted staff before.

Very generous holidays in the NHS, 8 weeks a year plus a very good NHS pension at the end, plus a state pension. No wonder the NHS is continually struggling for funds. Wouldn't that money be better spent on actual patient care, more beds etc. ?
It is a myth all the nhs pensions are gold plated , they are not all the same unless you are top in your field or top management . You want to give wages to patient care and staff to be paid even less ?

These 'fringe benefits' are a substitute for higher pay. You can't have it both ways.

Given the qualifications/experience/training required, most if not all NHS posts are criminally underpaid. That's one reason why they have so many vacancies. Most of the public sector has vacancies. Ever heard of the law of supply and demand? Cut pay and associated benefits and even more staff will walk. The ones that are left will be the least competent, those unable to get work elsewhere.

Then people call the public sector 'inefficient'. What the fuck do you expect?

A woman that does that regular where i work,ie ,has an extra day after a bank holiday 4 or 5 times a year, she just had 37 weeks sick till last january.
She has just been promoted and moved up a pay band.
Nothing beats the NHS for piss takers fully
encouraged and condoned and allowed by management and HR
That’s a joke!
Not the best joke you’ve posted, but none the less a joke.
