Er, not really, We were playing a patched up team with plenty of injuries, players out of position to fill the gaps, players who needed resting themselves and so on. When you upset the momentum, when you don't have your best team out you're not going to get your best results and that's what happened. All season too many of you have been trying to over-analyse it and you're still doing it.We started the season top of the form table as well.
That ridiculously bad period in between takes some explaining.
We didn't need to win granted, but we couldn't be sure we wouldn't lose, or be sure about which other clubs would win!Can everybody please just stop bloody moaning now. We didn't even need the win.
I'm sure he will keep it himself. Flog the spare for charity. You'd try and get KDB's last shirt if you were a Fulham player, wouldn't you?
Tbf, they haven’t won since they won the League and they didn’t really lose before they won it!I'm surprised looking at the table we only finished thirteen points behind Liverpool. It makes it even more frustrating our form dipped so badly to cost us. Obviously we know why our injuries were horrendous.

I wouldn’t say they’ve been at the beach, but they’ve definitely been by the pool sunning themselves!!
Not the greatest of seasons, but we can't win it every year, just a shame haaland didn't have the balls to take the penalty in the final, he scores that we win the FA CupEven when Eddie slipped his pass went straight to its intended target on the half way line! Loved the “give it to Eddie” pre pen kick - but then we all saw sense and bigged up Erling. Who duly obliged. I thought gundog was man of the match and I nico actually did well, some great turns to create space and surge forward. Please can someone tell Savinho to stop falling over at every touch on his shirt. Getting tiresome and many times now opposition benefit. But anyway a day of relief and celebration. And a position we would have taken all day long a few months back. Well done lads a great final push. Not sure who will still be here next time.
And if my Aunt…Yes I agree they definitely took the foot off the gas....but if we were breathing down their necks who knows?
exactly this. All the "fans' in the pre match thread who criticise everything, disappear after the match if we get a result. Can't really have a pop at him when half the City "fans" on here are saying the same thing, even today. I remember plenty a week ago saying we wouldn't even qualify. In the end we only needed a point from the final two matches and as you say were cheated out of the cup (again).

Happy Summer, mate! Let’s look forward to the CWC, a few new faces, a new tactical set-up, and the 25/26 season!
as I've said many times on here - NO team can win all the games when they have 6-10 FIRST team players out at the same time - which we did during our 'dip"Funny thing is I've been saying that all season when most seemed to be saying the entire squad was past it, the manager should go and so on.
Cannot understand the mentality of those that are incapable of working out that if you're missing a few top players for even part of the season, let alone most of it, you're going to drop points on several occasions and you're not going to be challenging for the title. There's nothing more to it, we don't need a massive rebuild, there's nothing wrong, we just need to be able to field our best XI far more often than not. The fact that Arse have only just scraped second place while we also made, and should have won, the cup final proves the point. 34 y.o. Gundo being touted as MOTM and that at the end of a tough season.
Sorry, but I think all those of you who think there's now going to be a mass clearout and expect a whole host of new players coming in to replace them are going to be very disappointed. I think our "new players" are going to be Rodri, Bobb, Khusanov and Echeverri, with Vitor Reis, Foden to get back to his best and more appearances from EDS players like Simpson-Pusey, Mubama and more - they're already here.
The other half used to be Chelsea fans.Half of the fans on here are rags
I hope the players don’t forget it and use it as motivationPoor season, CL qualification is an excellent conclusion given all circumstances.
Put this season in the past and forget it... move onwards. Seven or eight players out in the summer, four or five in.
Get it right and the PL will be ours again at the end of 25/26.
Up the Blues!
