I see how his pace is an asset but he is learning on the job and is going to make mistakes. I am not sure that either fullback have got a defensive mentalityNunes is a problem. He makes horrible decisions in proper head scratching moments. We'd just gone 3-0 up and 2 minutes to half time. Rather than clear the ball up the pitch and give us a moment to get our shape he tries to control it out of the air and beat 2 players. Loses it and they score. He has the potential to be a really good player and just when you think he's proving he can be one he drops a bollock that usually costs us a goal.
Can't take him seriously as a coachKolo toure
Nunes conceding possession very cheaply in the build up.I was absolutely livid we conceded before halftime.
We go in at 3-0 that second half performance doesn’t happen imo.
I know we scored early doors second half, but I was never, ever comfortable.
Give me Doku over Grealish every day of the week and twice on Sundays. I want to see exciting football not be dulled into falling asleep. We definitely missed Jack Grealish last night.
It's generally the fast head height ones they get out of the way of.Putting your hands behind your back to avoid handball is one thing but turning away so the ball doesn't hit you in the chest is not acceptable.
Especially when its someone like Dias.
doku ? but if dont shoot or cross it limits the chancesOn reflection and having watched the highlights, you have to say that there were 9 really high quality strikes in that match, no tap-in's or scrappy goals. Credit to all the players for that at least.
Why not give Kalvin Phillips a 30 minutes run when our midfielders are getting tired? Surely he is better than many others in the league.
He probably cant run anymore , when was the last time he stepped on to a pitch , and more so had any kind of positive influence? Why not give Kalvin Phillips a 30 minutes run when our midfielders are getting tired? Surely he is better than many others in the league.
Regrettably last night Nunez looked like what he is, a midfielder learning to play right back. NOR as good as he has been is also learning to play left back. It is no coincidence that for the second game in succession the opposition manager made substitutions at half time to exploit our inexperience at full back.
Sunderland with their players and set up will aim to do that for 90 minutes at the weekend not 45
It really is a ridiculous situation with this guy.He probably cant run anymore , when was the last time he stepped on to a pitch , and more so had any kind of positive influence?
Gvardiol gave away the initial cornerNunes conceding possession very cheaply in the build up.
Think if any player boots a ball miles away way after the whistle has gone, in injury time when that team is hanging on, they’ll get booked 100% of the time.

What full backs? There are hardly any world class full backs anywhere. There is one single world class right back in football at the moment; Hakimi. Why the club and Pep have this major problem is beyond me, We have everything money can buy, The best manager in the world, The Etihad campus, The best treatment/recovery rooms. So why does nobody want to sign and come play the fullbacks roles ?
Look, it's not cheap buying world-class players, but we have a very good young squad and with a couple of new signings City will be in the race for titles and silverware every season, How hard is it to sell the club to the best fullbacks ? Just buy the best, even if it costs over the market value you will get it back in prize money alone
It wasn't even 2 bad performances, it was 2 bad 2nd half performances
