Yeah he really stood out, looked a class above most of the others. What did you think of Brizzle Ctiy's number 42 Massnego? Looks a real player to me...Glad you enjoyed your butter pie
Really enjoyed the day out at Deepdale, a close but recently deceased family friend Mike Farrelly played 80-something games for Preston back in the early 80s and it was nice to take a moment and remember him
I posted about the day in another thread
Just been with my Bristol City supporting mate to watch them play Preston at Deepdale.
Both resolutely mid table and with not much to play for, barring a miraculous run of victories or a disastrous collapse. But a decent and entertaining game, the Robins led twice but were pegged back by what looked like a worldy of a volley in the 95th minute after they messed up a 2 v 1 breakaway to seal the game.
It was typical championship, two honest and well matched sides both going for the win in the second half, after Bristol City dominated the first and should have gone in more than 1 up.
Former blues Greg Cunningham and sub Ched Evans turned out for Preston, Scott Sinclair didn’t make it off the bench.
The ‘matchday experience’ as they call it was great at Preston. Left my mate’s gaff in Urmston at 1.30 and were in the ground by 2.30. Street parking 5 mins away, £24 ticket from the window as a walk up, friendly stewards, no searches, wands or insisting we opened jackets and removed hats etc. Nice ‘butter pie’ for £3 and they let anybody who wanted a smoke at half time to go to a fenced off area outside, rather than the Etihad toilets experience.
