What did you think of Brizzle Ctiy's number 42 Massnego? Looks a real player to me...Glad you enjoyed your butter pie
Yeah he really stood out, looked a class above most of the others.
Really enjoyed the day out at Deepdale, a close but recently deceased family friend Mike Farrelly played 80-something games for Preston back in the early 80s and it was nice to take a moment and remember him
I posted about the day in another thread

Just been with my Bristol City supporting mate to watch them play Preston at Deepdale.
Both resolutely mid table and with not much to play for, barring a miraculous run of victories or a disastrous collapse. But a decent and entertaining game, the Robins led twice but were pegged back by what looked like a worldy of a volley in the 95th minute after they messed up a 2 v 1 breakaway to seal the game.
It was typical championship, two honest and well matched sides both going for the win in the second half, after Bristol City dominated the first and should have gone in more than 1 up.
Former blues Greg Cunningham and sub Ched Evans turned out for Preston, Scott Sinclair didn’t make it off the bench.
The ‘matchday experience’ as they call it was great at Preston. Left my mate’s gaff in Urmston at 1.30 and were in the ground by 2.30. Street parking 5 mins away, £24 ticket from the window as a walk up, friendly stewards, no searches, wands or insisting we opened jackets and removed hats etc. Nice ‘butter pie’ for £3 and they let anybody who wanted a smoke at half time to go to a fenced off area outside, rather than the Etihad toilets experience.

I remember Mike Farrelly.. a decent player who played for us in a particularly dark era in our history. I was sad to hear of his passing

We have moaned like mad about uTd having half of their fan base from ...Cornwall... people SHOULD support their own tea. Its a working class game, should travel down the road to watch their local team..unless you have a connection to the area...what's their not to like /
As a seven year old 53 years ago I wanted to be Colin bell. Stuck with city ever since in thick and thin and thinner. Been to reading gillingham millwall Barcelona Madrid and next stop Lisbon (if I ever sort out damn Covid prep required). I’d like to claim I’m as passionate about my/our team as anyone. But I’m not from Manchester. Honestly does that really matter? I’ve had to face being surrounded by spurs Chelsea United “fans” being the lone city fan at school and work in, shock horror, south London.

To be fair the mockery surrounds incidents like Manchester City fans being told to "Fuck off back to Manchester" at Wembley by cockney rags.

Maybe you'd be ok with 99% of City's supporters being born within walking distance of the chippy on Claremont Rd., our dads all rag & bone merchants and our mams all cleaners at the bus station, all reading only the Football Pink. I'm not far off that myself but the world has changed. Adventure took me to New Zealand and Hong Kong, love brought me to the u.s., air travel gets me back home when I can. I meet people who know and follow City wherever i go and they're all happy to be part of a world-wide club. Last night I met a bloke from Bangladesh who couldn't get his motor bike started in the snow, I gave him what help i could and when we were done he saw my MCFC scarf and said "Manchester City - Agueroooo!" and we hugged like brothers. And then talked about cricket. So sod off with your narrow provincialism.
And by the way, your last line, it's "there" not "their."
Well, I am 74 years old and have supported City since I was six years old. I am from Essex and first saw City play at Tottenham. I was a season ticket holder in the 70's and then could no longer afford one. However, I am passionate about MY club.

Nice post mate. We're all City at the end of the day. You've earned your stripes in my book. I do get the comments about the geography mattering a bit more in some senses (I spent my formative years in Salford surrounded by rags in their prime trophy winning era) but "it's not where your from but where you're at" for me.

Guys I’m looking for 2 or 3 tickets, and I have one ticket in 101 can be transferred.
