Fulham (H) - FA Cup Round 4 Post-Match Thread

Pep does have a certain arrogance. It’s probably a contributory factor to not always getting a good press. And it’s also why some posters are quick to engage the fanboys/girls.

What’s sarcastic about it?
“I don’t know why.”

He tends to say that when he wants to say exactly why but knows he’ll get in to trouble (bad press for slagging the competition/broadcasters) if he does.

Exactly !! Too many moaning fuckers about our Manager on his thoughts about the attendance. He was taking the piss IMO just as he does with those fucking pre match games when he gets asked stupid questions. It pisses on their bonfire when he responds not in the way they hoped.
When Pep said "Thank You So Much! Thank You So Much!" were people on here moaning that he'd said thanks to a ref. who'd given us nothing all match?????

Some folk just aren't able to understand his deadpan sarcasm and the way that he just pats stupid questions to the side. I have no idea why so many are so wound up by this. If people took a second they'd be able to read between the lines with his two quotes and then maybe they'd see the wood for the trees.

Not buying that. He could have just said “we’ve got a lot of games in a short space of time”.

He doesn’t know why because he lives on a different planet to the supporters of the club.

Pep hasn't really connected with the city fans , that's my opinion anyway. Not the first time he's had a dig at our support and it needs to stop.

I agree. I think Mancini understood is much more and there was more love from the city fans for him.

I get the impression that he thinks he’s better then us. Just my view though

Well I, for one, am also a part-Spaniard living in a million pound flat in the middle of a city coaching a great Manchester City side*, with a beautiful missus, and a keen sense of style...

So he’s not on a different planet to me. ;-)

You’ll have to narrow it down a bit - there’s a few weirdos in there.
The weirdo was the guy I quoted, I was just pulling his leg.

But I concede your point about other weirdo's in the match thread lol

Poor point.

You can separate the success with having a basic understanding and appreciation for why working class Mancunians are skint.
It wasn’t a poor point. People going on about how Mancini got us but Pep doesn’t is one that is often repeated and one that I disagree with.
The mention of Pearce was just trying to show how daft I think the comparisons are.
Nothing to do with success.
