Fulham (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

The media are fucking vipers. We dickslapped a bag of shit nothing Fulham team who did nothing but park the bus and foul from minute 1 in 2nd gear. The Aké goal was perfectly fine, Leno had a view of it leaving his head, Akanji jumped over the ball. Fuckall wrong with it. McBurnie jumped directly in front of Ederson to the extent he couldn't dive fully last week and VAR didn't even look at it. Fulham deserved absolutely nowt

Yes he did and Akanji slotted into a back 4. Phil moved inside and we looked so much better. I still think that we should start with a back three and when out of pocession, Rodri steps into the back 4. When Stones returns does he step back into his previous role, moving into midfield if so, where does Kova play?
The three atb system with Stones moving into midfield transformed us last season, we looked so fluid I really hope Stones is fit after the break and comes straightback into the team.

To answer your question, personally I think Kova could play the role Gundo played 8/10 with Phil or Alvarez as the other 8/10.

Or as replacement for Rodri as the DM.

A very scrappy first half, but we were much better in the second.

Phil was sublime throughout, and Erling showed what a danger he is, no matter how little involved in the game he seems to be. Kyle and Nathan were also both excellent.

The strength of the squad was perfectly demonstrated yesterday, by the fact that we didn’t miss Kevin, John and Jack at all.

Although Jérémy didn’t really get the chance to showcase his pace going forward, he certainly proved his ability to help defend. His tracking back was excellent.

It was very pleasing to see some of the fringe players come on. More minutes for Rico, Sergio and Kalvin can’t be a bad thing, and Oscar looked as though he has what it takes, though, of course it still very early days for him.

Finally, I don’t remember headlines last Tuesday week, screaming that Wolves were let down by VAR.

Very patchy first half performance.

Shape changed at HT and much better.

The second perhaps should not have stood but not had chance yat to download and have a look at relevant part of this year's Laws of the Game. Not convinced their keeper was saving it if Akanji is not there.

No doubt the 2nd goal and its timing affected the game but Fulham never really looked like scoring and their goal came from a gift of a corner... Not a lot of chances in the game but three unaswered second hal goals and the presence of Erling suggests that we might have found a way through.

Fulham are not easy to beat (we saw that twice last season) and that is a very good result.

We are slow starters, we have injuries, new players to integrate and teams will be working harder than ever to stifle us, so four wins out of four is all we can ask at this stage.
