I agree, they are not a bad side, at least in terms of talent, which is why we need Ole to stick around.

Nothing wrong with that other the Ederson's lack of communication, our defenders don't normally look because they know where he'll be, what the f**k he was doing I've no idea.

Didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it was a bit stupid.

How do you know Dias wasn't first choice?

It's quite apparent that Benfica only sold him because they crashed out of the UCL in the qualifying rounds and that he only became a realistic option late in the window.

Yeah, that was all about Eddie rushing out - again - when he didn't need to.
 
1st half excellent today, defensively we look solid, great to have Raheem back on the scoresheet & Mahrez link up play was excellent. 2nd half we controlled the game & conserved our energy.
Plenty of rotation midweek & to have a fresh team vs United Saturday. All things considered, injuries, players getting COVID, lack of a pre season to be 3 points off the leaders Spurs & Liverpool is a positive. I feel like the season starts properly next week vs United.

I don't have a problem with players going down for pen if they are fouled. If we don't win the game it is a disaster

Your view is redundant because you state he was fouled, you want to see pens being given for players falling to the ground for a touch then Knock yourself out. Don’t complain next week though if a rag player wins the game by throwing themselves on the ground after being touched, brushed or gently tickled.
 
MOTD managed to put together a nice ‘league table’ of who has won the most penalties in the PL. of course it was Sterling and gave them a few minutes of Insinuating Raz goes down easily.
They must have had that graphic ready to throw into the show as soon as the opportunity arose.

I 100% get where you're coming from, but it might be worth noting that against Liverpool Sterling was fouled on the edge of the area, didn't go down, didn't get the freekick, and then Liverpool went up the other end and got a penalty.

I'm not saying you're wrong here, but this is a clear damned if you do, damned if you don't sort of thing.

Agreed but it's the kind of situation that might knock someone's confidence regardless of fault.

I'm assuming he wasn't first choice based on the reported pursuit of Koulibaly and Jiminez. I of course don't have access to city's player scouting and acquisition software as I am non Scouse
