Surrendering a 2-0 lead always feels like a defeat at first. The reality is, it wasn't a defeat and it happens to everyone. It happened to Barca only last week in the Spanish league.

Pam,your posts have been absolutley spot on of late. I enjoy reading them.

Nice of you to say so, Glen.

No doubt about it, we should been leaving London with 3 points today.

It's not an over reaction or knee jerk response, but mancini got it horribly wrong second half and it cost us the game.

2-3 days ago he clearly stated ''we need to be more ruthless and go for the kill''

today he did the complete OPPOSITE

we lost control of the game because we paniced, all we needed to do with keep the ball when we got it and slowed the momentum down. but instead he made a substitution which was quite frankly mind boggling, Silva is the LAST player in that situation of the game that should have come off.

we needed to hold the ball, have a cool head on the ball who can dominate the game, that man was subbed and i can't blame Silva for his reaction.

we invited pressure on and literally said come and have a go at us, we had nothing to reply with. we asked for it and we got it, midfield was non existant for the last 30 minutes.

i thought the 'defensive' tactics, had gone? clearly they haven't, it cost us 2 points simple as.

.....did fergie bring rooney or nani off today against Chelsea?

No but they weren't exactly getting overrun in the same way we were and he needed to make a change.

The reason we failed to win is that we just stopped playing after we went 2 up and we let them back into the game. I very much doubt Mancini instructed the players to stop the pass and move possession approach that had got us the lead in the first place. For some reason we just seem to turn off at certain times and today that cost us.

No.1 choice Hiddink

No.2 choice Van Gaal

Mancini has not got a good record in Europe. With the quality of our players and Hiddinks tactical acumen, it would be dreamy sexy football!!

Certainly, Hiddink has won LOADS of Cups outside Holland. Like...err...y'know..that thing, and then that other thing.

The fact that he took over Betis and almost relegated them, took over Madrid during their most successful period ever and finished below Valencia, and took over an all conquering Chelsea and won an FA Cup shows that he's obviously better than that lad who has won 8 trophies in 9 years, especially when he sold Crespo, Nesta and Claudio Lopez then replaced them with Corradi and took them to an FA Cup and UEFA Cup places.

One of the most overhyped managers around, plus he's old and Mancini can build an empire with us for years unless he decides to go back to Italy.

Tell you what guys and gals, I'll happily take that point if it inspires us to give Evilton a serious tonking in our next league game.

that shouldnt be necessary when you earn a ferrari every week....

WTF would he do that? Didn't do it against Bolton and Spuds.

What fucks me off is mancini saying let's be clinical dzeko is on fire scores 4 and is full of confidence , then dropped at wigan for a rest ? Since then his momentum has gone, does bacon face drop rooney for a rest ? Does he Fuck for my money if a striker is scoring he starts but mancini can't see that

Correction: Utd were over run for most of the game. Utd missed a pen and a couple of chances, but Chelsea missed many more.

Mancini said post match that he wanted to make a change incentral midfield because the players were tired, but he couldn't make the change he wanted as De Jong, Milner and Hargreaves were unavailable
