Fulham v City Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: Are we a bit narrow and predictable?

No,were shit hot and at times breathtaking but we will not slaughter everyone 10-0.

Hi just got back to Brighton from the game... we all felt well gutted, almost like a loss, the cheer that went up from the Fulham fans at full time was...erm well a sight to behold, almost as if they'd taken all 3 points...City fans were in great voice 1st half and well into the second til Fulham equalised, the Fulham fans then startied to sing " your support is fucking shit" very ironic indeed seeing as it was the 70th minute til we heard a peep from them..
Oh well hey ho..

Feel raa't down tbh.

Nasri wasn't that good but would Silva be very good on the left either? Nasri doesn't look natural put on the left so much but I suppose someone has to be there.

First time that utd have won the first 5 games of the season under ferguson, lets get it into perspective, we have had a fantastic start.

dont worry, he'll have a heart attack soon

Are we a bit narrow and predictable?

It's no coincidence that Bobby was after another winger during the transfer window.
The lack of width was not the reason we blew it today as we were 2.0 up it was poor defending.

Some mistakes are acceptable, and some are not

To change Silva and bring in Zabaleta is the type of unacceptable mistake. It is actually a tactical horrible mistake.

I like Mancini, but i am really worried

We should have won, it should have been the easiest 3 points.

Re: Are we a bit narrow and predictable?

It wasnt poor defending it was giving ground in the middle of the park, and allowing fulham to get on the front foot (something i thought we'd seen the back of) That is why he brought on Zab, but it didnt work unfortunately. i dont think width is a particular problem, thats what Micah and Gael provide

Two points dropped today because we simply 'switched off' from what we'd been doing quite competently in the first half ..... passing the ball , creating chances , and giving Fulham problems!

We were clearly guilty of believing that the game was won after Agueros second goal , and we then paid the penalty ...... Fulham deserved the draw because they DIDN'T switch off , they did quite the opposite !

Once they'd got back into it you could sense an equaliser wasn't far away , yet we did little to prevent the pressure , even then ........ we got what we deserved , and handed them the initiative by taking our most productive player off at an important time , something which even Silva himself couldn't quite believe.

I'd normally class a point at Fulham as pretty good going , but in those circumstances today it's got to be two points dropped.

I didn't think that Yaya , Nasri or Dzeko really did enough over the ninety minutes , but it was the lack of concentration that really cost us ......... plus the inability to kill them off with a vital third goal after Agueros early second half strike had floored them ....... instead you got the impression that City simply thought they'd 'done enough' at that point , and it soon became clear to everyone that they hadn't!

for their first goal we didn't even tackle them and left BIG gaps
if we played like we did in first half for 90mins we'd of won pretty easy, but it's important to kill teams off , we went for the laid back approach and it proved wrong terribly

I agree, but strangely I think a lack of width was why we were only 2-0 up and not 3 or 4...I'd have just liked to have seen Micah and Clichy get right up the flanks, sticking crosses onto Dzeko's head.

P.s. I in no way aim to sound like a spoiled and ungrateful rag ****, just putting my opinion out there that we have lacked width of late.
