"For the first 30 minutes City looked like anything but reigning Premier League champions as they allowed Fulham to take control and seize the initiative."

What?

Mail on Sunday:

"They are the first champions of the Premier League era to concede goals in each of their first six matches and Roberto Mancini's premature assertion that they will retain their title looks far-fetched."

"far-fetched"?
I honestly love it, I do. I want more. I love being hated!
I've always been hated and now my team is too, and I love it.

This: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/9570622/Fulham-1-Manchester-City-2-match-report.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... eport.html</a> is brilliant too.

Particularly love the (old-fashioned?) deliberate mistake: "Mancini had fretted that they would end up dropping a point here, just as they had last season"

It was a better formation. But also Yaya's quietest performance for a long time. It didnt convince me that starting him in the advanced role is necessarily the best use of his talents

I've argued this before. Yaya is more effecitve and dangerous in the central mid position than an advanced attacking position in a playmaking role.
I completely agree.

The best two parts of his game are his passing and his surging runs forward. When he plays in the most advanced midfield role he sees far fewer opportunities to pass (as we spend a lot of time in the centre circle passing the ball) and he pretty much never gets the chance to have a surging run forward from the edge of our box to the opposition's.

He just seems to fill a space up top somewhere.

He's wasted there.

Does it need to be discussed, though? It's not a talking point because we won the game.

yes, because on another day it could cost us.

Have to shout from the rooftops and woman about every bad decision until they learn we aren't to be screwed over.

An abominable decision by Halsey today and shame on the BBC not crucifying him for it.
It only goes to emphasise that he fucked up at Anfield to the Rags' usual gain and they didn't want to hang him out to dry.

Wasn't even a foul mate from the angles I saw.

agree, hence the " ".

Also, both the commentator and some newspapers I've read have claimed Tevez wasn't pulled back. But the same people say it was a foul be Zabaleta.

If one is, so is the other.

Yeah I thought exactly the same thing regarding the Tevez incident, he clearly felt there was something in it as you could see his reaction towards Riise (I think it was him anyway?) when the play moved on.

Kind of did my head in the way they skated over it on MOTD.

I think Yaya is best as part of a two in a 4 2 3 1 - he has the ability to move past people create space and his passing / keep ball is excellent - today even though we had Barry / Garcia on the pitch Yaya was constantly coming deep and collecting the ball from the centre half and taking it forward

I would always start Yaya here and move him forward as we need too (Newcastle away last season was a prime example)

Also not convinced he has the engine / speed to be up and down the pitch for 90 minutes

He was awrsome today

How many years have we criticised United and Liverpool for doing this?

Criticised them getting an unfair rub of the green, yes, criticise them for bitching about decisions? only when it's like Fergie tonight complaining about a fair amount of injury time.
