Full Backs?

Ghoulam, available on a free next summer. Offer Napoli a sweetener to get it done in Jan. Would be great competition for Mendy.

I hope we don’t Let Liverpool have him like we have with Keita.
 
Seems like Bertrand would be a good option in January. We will definitely be signing someone for the position.
 
I'm amazed City fans think they can induce a current England FB to come here to be back up to someone younger who the club believes is their future and Pep is high on.

Walker and Mendy are clearly the future of FBs at City, so, for me, players like Danilo and Delph, who can cover multiple positions, are the best hope for cover until an Academy player inside the club is able to step up into that void. Yes, it is a key position at the club, but unless you can convince an Intl player that playing the Cup games and as a backup is a good future for him, we are where we are.
 
Want a quick CB-LB hybrid rather than an out n out backup LB because then, on top of having cover for Mendy, Otamendi wouldn't need to play LCB in a 3, where his lack of pace is an issue,and we'd have someone more suitable than Mangala at CB (and we can sell him)

Our HG quota is full unless we move Delph on. We have two overseas places available so think we will look at an overseas option in January.

Home grown quota is a minimum isn't it? If someone like Tierney were determined to be the right man for the job, surely having more homegrown players than the minimum is a good thing? I'm all for city having the best players regardless of nationality, but it is nice to have British players in the side.

we can have as many british players as we want. as long as they are good enough. tierney for example wouldn't be coming here because hes british, but because hes a good player

Another quasi homegrown player in our squad would mean that he'd be listed as a foreigner in our CL squad.
 
I hope Pep will use Delph & Zinchenko for the LB position.

Delph was MOTM in his new role so why not keep him there ?

When was the last time our LB won the MOTM award ?

Big test for him on Saturday so will have a better idea then.
