Thought Theo Hernandez deal was agreed for next summer, or did I read wrongly in the past.

It was a report from a while back - but no idea if there's any real substance to it. We've waited him for a while though.

Home grown quota is a minimum isn't it? If someone like Tierney were determined to be the right man for the job, surely having more homegrown players than the minimum is a good thing? I'm all for city having the best players regardless of nationality, but it is nice to have British players in the side.

we can have as many british players as we want. as long as they are good enough. tierney for example wouldn't be coming here because hes british, but because hes a good player

Another quasi homegrown player in our squad would mean that he'd be listed as a foreigner in our CL squad.

Tierney wouldn't be home grown anyway I think. I'm sure the rule only regards players who have plied their trade in England or Wales.

But anyway, the point remain the same that Delph was outstanding as LB.
