He wouldn't have been cheap. Relegated teams get the big parachute payment, plus especially this season a huge incentive to get promoted with the new deal. They might need to get rid of the highest earners, but Robertson wouldn't be one having just joined from Scottish football. He was linked with moves away but ridiculous prices (20m+) were being quoted by Hull, simply because they had no need or desire to sell.

Just watched a YouTube of him, it looks like there is a player in there. But why is he so fucking far in front? In every clip he is either the farthest ahead or 2nd only to the striker. Is he a bloody leftback or a damn winger?

Because it's a highlights reel! And he's just a naturally attacking player, that's where his strengths lie, but probably lacks the pace to play as a winger. I'd maybe compare him with Leighton Baines and that's his most likely future level.
 
Not sure if he has his own thread but we are being linked with Kieran tierney from Celtic again. Impressed me in the old firm game but obviously a huge step up.
 
Zabaleta would have been fine in central midfield instead of playing Bony. That's if we'd had a top rate right back instead of him.
 
Two young talented fullbacks are required. One left and one right. Our 3rd and 4th most vital signings of the summer.
 
i am hoping guardiola has a look at angelino before signing anybody at left back first.

clichy can still do a job but maybe with a bit of defensive coaching we might not need to spend huge money on a left back because for me angelino looks like he could be the real deal.

attack wise he could play for us now easily.
 
Two new full backs needed, assuming we have Academy players ready to step up. If not I'd say to our scouts, here's £10 mill. Find me an English right back who can step up and step in when needed. Clichy can cover the left.
 
To be honest, Angelino has been over hyped. As an attacking full back he is very good but defensively he's atrocious.

Maffeo looks good at RB though

Angelino gets far more gametime than Maffeo right now though.
