Anyone remember 'George Best' from Hamburg 2002?
Fuckin hilarious! I've got a picture of him somewhere, will dig it out one time and get it posted (all my pics are in storage at the mo).
"Can you drink another Stella Georgie Best...."

Fuck me I remember that, also Nicky Weaver ( Out injured ) on the lash he said " I'm not Nick I'm me brother "

HA! quality

Everton at home 1966, Mike Summerbee and Jimmy Gabriel, both pouring in blood after an "altercation" - riot in the scoreboard end - someone even threw a mop and bucket out on to the running track. I've still got the press cuttings from the sunday people.

Buzzer and Gabriel continued their head tennis for many years following and of course it ended on the opening day of the 70/71 season away at Southampton when Buzzer got sent off. Was there that day with my dad.

ladders at boundary park to get into the game
stoke away boxing day
palace away blues brothers
good luck from city of manchester at villa
during last season in kippax managing to work out how to get a lift to the kitchens, walk out and straight into corporate area
doublin up turnstiles
jibbin everywhere, so many scams
mind your car mister
west midlands police - twats
away at cardiff when they knocked us out of the cup, a local lad looking after us, telling us to be careful, some well dodgy characters about. 5 minutes later we're having a quiet pint trying to avoid any aggro and our 'guide' has kicked off without about 20 locals, all hell breaks loose and we have to wade in, like a friggin western

shit, there's so many but my main memories are of top away days, always looking for a scam, an angle, plenty of beer and the company of some top top blues

That one at Oldham, was that the same one when loads of City climbed into the seats opposite their main stand. Basically filled all the seats and the Police didn't risk trying to turf them out. Oldham season ticket holders arrived and were turned away. Some were on the radio afterwards complaining they'd been turned away from their own stand/seats.

Love this thread. I'd forgotten loads of these. Good times !

Spuds away in the early 90's, when i eventually got to my seat there wasnt one there, just a seat back and a space. So i stood up and a steward told me to 'sit darn' to which i replied there isnt a seat my good man (or words to that effect) so he came up to me looked at the space and fooked off. A minute later he came back with a copper and told him that i wouldnt sit down, so i once again told them about the missing seat and the copper than said 'sit darn' or your nicked!! So i crouched down and he said 'right then, wasnt that hard was it' by which time everybody around me was pissing themselves, and as soon as the copper and the steward walked away i stood up and one City fan a few rows down shouted to the copper "Sir......... he's stood up again" and fook me if the copper didnt come back up, to raptuous laughter from all around me, and start the whole process again os 'sit darn'..bizarre, simply bizarre!!

Luton Town in the early nineties, been on the lash all day with my mate from the London branch of the supporters club.We take our seats behind the goal and my mate nods off, only to be awoken by the celebrations for Quinny's goal,he then decides to join the blues on the pitch celebrating only problem being they're heading back as he's heading out.Easiest arrest for the bedfordshire constabulary that day.

Pictures from Bournemouth away in 1980's (I can't remember the year or the score!). Enjoy.........

Does anyone remember the goalkeeper for lincoln that night. He looked like a homeless guy dragged of the street and a city fan ran on the pitch and robbed his kit bag in the goal! ha!
Shall never forget his name...Barry Richardson!
Someone chucked a half-eaten Mars bar at him, and he picked it up and ate it...to a large chorus of "Gypo! Gypo!"

Re nicking goalies property. Fulham in the early 80's when a friend who had drank far too much, well it was near xmas, decided he was invisible and then nick the goalies bag from out of the net...during the game. Easiest arrest plod must have made that day.

I still have a clipping from a paper from the time which read '6579 witness theft' and yes, it was a shite crowd.

Sean....i salute you, if you're on here that is.

I was with Sean walking round pitch when he nicked the bag. We were very pissed. He got done for theft £50 fine I got charged with Breach of the Peace and got £80!!!
