Future Strikers

That's utter garbage. The fact you miss Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Greizmann, Martinez, Firminho, Mane and Salah all off the list says it all and that's just off the top of my head. Before you say oh but Mane and Salah aren't strikers, we both know they have played through the middle for Liverpool and could very easily play as a striker for any team in the world.

And yet how many of them are realistic targets for us this summer? Martinez at a very low chance perhaps. Messi too if he makes that clear signal to City but still 99.9% not happening. Obviously neither is Lewa, Werner like he mentioned, but in terms of the conversation they were having, your point is a bit moot.

Messi is a winger/centerforward, Ronaldo could maybe be considered a striker nowadays but he's originally a winger, Suarez is washed up and his dribbling + technique has decreased a lot, Griezmann is a not a striker he's a center forward, Martinez does not have the dribbling or ball control of a elite winger or midfielder, Firmino is a center forward not a striker, Mane is an inside winger and Salah is a inside forward neither are strikers

Congratulations you got 0 out of 8 guesses right and have shown all the fotball positional understanding of a toddler. Want to try again? ;)
I was going to be nice to you and assume you are either not English, or a young child who likes FIFA, but that last sentence was so rude and arrogant that I'm gonna have to show you why you are wrong.

In English, a centre-forward is usually used to define a striker. A striker who plays centrally (the clue is in the name). Wingers are often also called strikers (especially inside forwards), but generally people are more likely to use the term Forward as an umbrella term for strikers and wingers and striker is usually reserved to mean the EXACT SAME THING as centre forward.

I know that in FIFA, a centre-forward is equivalent to a "second-striker", "trequartista" or "false 9". However a centre forward in real life is the name for a traditional striker, a number 9. Just because something is in a video game, doesn't make it real.

Also it's spelt CENTRE not CENTER, and FOOTBALL not FOTBALL.

If you are going to be an arrogant prick, make sure you are right.

What’s a striker ? If it isn’t a centre forward or a winger I’m stumped.
Striker is the main goal outlet, a number 9 like Haaland, Lewandowski, Aguero etc. Center forward has more of a supportive role rather than scoring as many goals as possible, think Firmino, Griezmann etc. Wingers plays on the wings like the name implies, Mahrez, Mané, Sterling etc etc

Hope it's clearer

This is flat out wrong and clearly just based on FIFA.

I was trying to be nice and show my thinking but he continued to be an arrogant prick. That's why I wrote it like that

No it isn’t a centre forward is the attack spearhead, Lewandowski, Haaland, Aguero are centre forwards. Striker is just another name for a centre forward, though it can encompass less traditional centre forwards.

That's what I would say too. Don't think I've ever used the word striker.

All very interesting. Whats the right name for one of those players that scores every time they get a touch in or around the six yard box? We need one of those.
