Yeah and he hasn't got the pace of Messi with the ball at his feet and on a decent sized sprint KDB would be much quicker.

B. Silva's game isn't based on pace - he's just damn hard to get the ball off of, can dribble past defenders, constantly moves into open positions, is deadly accurate with passes, and can make passes that immediately lead to goal scoring opportunities that are beyond the capability of nearly everyone else in world football.Agree to disagree.

That said - I think B. Silva can start as an AM with Gundogan and KDB in pivot (dropping Fernandinho). This is an ambitious and risky lineup admittedly and likely won't be selected against Chelsea - but Pep is a tinkerer - it'll be interesting to see who lines up later today.
Pep has on multiple occasions referred to Bernado as a forward. While he might deploy him in a Silva type role some time, I think Primarily Pep sees him as a mini Messi at his best.I'm excited to see who we deploy. I just don't see Dave/Bernardo/Kev as forwards in a three
...at all ... and I don't think Pep does either. I know we're going for positionless football but for me that front line has to score goals (and have pace) and having bernado up there Doesn't fit that profile.
Just my admittedly amateurish view on football lol. I don't like having slow creative types in attacking positions tbh. That's what the midfield is for no?

Interesting, especially those Pep quotes about him being a forward. That's not how I see him but I've already posted my stance of being a pace whore ;-). Personally I think he's absolutely perfect in a 4-4-2 but that doesn't really do us any good.
City playing last premier league champion away, everybody worried (understandably cause aguero is an excelent striker) with the team frontline now without sergio, the other manchester team winning its game... I dont know, but something tells me this is the day the whole british islands will be presented to Gabriel Jesus.
