Gabriel Jesus - 2017 performances

His one touch play looks absolutely top tier. The way he can take a ball under pressure and lay it off perfectly is absolutely ridiculous for a player of his age and size. Aguero has an erratic touch when he takes the ball with his back to play and sometimes needs two or three touches to get the ball under control and back out of his feet, but Jesus barely even needs one. He is also really unselfish and works his knackers off with the press. Add to that the fact he is scoring and assisting and it is easy to see the logic behind Aguero being left out. I wouldn't even move Gabriel wide to accomodate Kun St the minute, because I think Jesus needs to be in the centre.

World class, no doubt about it this kid is going to be a superstar. I recall quite a number of us saying it would take him time to settle into English football - yeah, about 30 seconds after he came on against Spurs and he's carried on "settling in" ever since!
I honestly thought we would ease him in just bring him for the last few minutes in games but fair play to him and pep the lad's a diamond everything about his game is fantastic a true game changer for us no need to wrap him bubble wrap just let him play

Agree, I also noticed how well he uses his body as a shield to take long high balls. Two or three times he made something out of nothing. Thought he was brilliant today, not just his goals. His vision, touch and workrate were exemplary.

Yes that impressed me as well, he was a little unlucky that his turn away from the defender after controlling those high balls didn't quite come off, but it's only a matter of time.

Don't recall him being as strong or as creative but was impressive.

No he wasn't a flair player at all. Did the job at 18 though but comparing the league then and the league now is apples and oranges. The league is tougher now. Back then it was a 2-3 horse race.

Thrown him in at the deep end and he's coped magnificently. Well on his way to POTM and looks like he could hit double figures this season.

The savior.

What a start hes had. Excellent again today. Worked extremely hard and took his goals well. Very nice pass that put Silva through as well.

So lucky to have him.
