Hard done by with an offside flag on one of the two occasions he was flagged last night, his arm was the only thing beyond the last defender, a lot of the time there's just millimetres in it, the type of ones Salah seems to constantly get away with.
Didn't see the game last night as i was working. Many saying he had his best game for a while. I'm glad about that and i don't want to be harsh on the lad, its just that Jesus really needs to step up and deliver the goods on goal when given his chance.

Can't argue with that, he needs to find his scoring touch again.

Sometimes it's tight and sometimes he's yards offside. Definitely happens too much. Frequently the player with the ball recognises he's in an offside position and just doesn't pass.

I don't think many on here understand that being a striker isn't always about scoring goals. Last night Jesus was kicked from pillar to post but kept on bouncing back up demanding the ball and never hiding. His constant harrying of their defence led to us winning the ball back many times and his movement was sublime especially for Sane's 2nd. I am sure Pep appreciates what he brings to the team and I hope he starts on Saturday. Goals will come in time and people should get off his back. Is he the new boo boy on here?

People who have already seen Jesus come up with some of the best finishes from any City player in years, right up there, with both feet & his head, think he can't finish, because he's having a 'dry' spell, even though they have seen him do it, with their own eyes.

He may never become consistent & reliable to take every chance, like an out & out killer goalscorer, we don't know yet as he's only 21.

If you are reading this & you think however, he can't finish at all, in spite of what you have already seen, you are a fucking idiot.

The stats say it's twice a game in CL and just 0.5 a game in PL.

As I said there's many times he's stood or running in an offside position, those occasions don't enter any stats.

I can see with my own eyes he's blatantly offside too much. I like the lad's workrate etc. but he really needs to work on this aspect of his game.

I'll accept there's a bit of over eagerness at times but sometimes the ball isn't played through quick enough.

I dunno, when we've suffered the likes of Adebayor I find it difficult to take too much issue with Jesus being occasionally offside.

I think it's a fair criticism & something he tries to work on, but is a bit unprofessional at times, but also I think his brain is sometimes quicker than even the brilliant players around him & his run would work if the pass was played earlier.

I also think he will score plenty of that kind of goal, plus headers, tap ins etc, when KDB gets fit.

He's just trying too hard. He needs to play with more intelligence, and time his movement. (Vardy and Kane usually do this to a high level.) We don't want to destroy his confidence but he needs to be more aware.

There is nothing wrong with his attitude. He seems a nice lad and works his socks off all game, pulling defenders away and making room for other players to run in to. Being a striker does mean scoring goals, however, regardless of his other attributes. Don’t think many on here would wish him anything other than the best, but perfectly reasonable for fans to ponder why he is having such an unexpected drought.

Paul Dickov scored 1 in 5 for us but everyone raves about him. Very few questioned why as a striker his strike rate was so poor. Gabby is currently averaging a goal every 2.5 games so what's the problem. The team is winning and he is contributing to that.

That's after two big injuries & in the middle of a scoring slump.

Decent chance his record will be considerably better by the end of the season.

for me and this is just a feeling ?? i think he is not a out and out a lone striker and needs to play off somebody in a two up top, also could be better playing in a attacking midfield role he has a great engine and can get up and down really well, also could be just trying to hard and over thinking it, but 100% gives his all to the team and maybe its just the role pep is playing him right now and pulling defenders out of the way for sterling and sane

Great to see him score, he's working really hard. (He does still need to work on his offsides. He's been offside twice already in the first half.)
That goal should be great for his confidence.

Thats his 22nd PL goal in 53 appearances i think.

He is a superb player and in 4-5 years time will be out and out world class.
