I think he has been a trifle unlucky over the last few games. He led the oppo defence a bit of a dance and was dragging 'em all over the show tonight. Just needs one or two to drop for him.

I was happy Brahim scored the second, but also slightly disappointed that Rico saved the shot that led to it, as it was great work from Gabby and it would have done wonders for his confidence.

I thought this was one of his best performances this season, and showed the sort of talent he has when he lets loose a bit, whilst still showing how much he works for the team (that tackle at RB was applauded by everyone in the stadium, save Cottagers).

Best I've seen him play for a while, he had everything except that bit of confidence and luck in front of goal. His touch and dribbling was better than I've seen from him in a long time. Keep that up and the goals will come

All strikers need to score goals,and their game thrives on it,irrelevant of how they work in the team,he’s a forward at the end of the day and needs a goal quick

Maybe in the old way we viewed football, that has evolved beyond belief in the way Pep has set us up... I’m more that happy for him to go another 30/40 games, as the stats don’t lie, we just don’t lose when he starts!

If strikers were judged on effort , honesty and sublime skill then Jesus would have no problems , unfortunately they are judged on goals and Jesus desperately needs a couple to kick start his season , simply brilliant against Fulham , his movement and some of his dribbling/touches were superb and he fights for everything , if he keeps on playing like this , the goals must surely come along

I don’t agree he’s lacking confidence either. The guy was attempting every trick in the book, taking on 2, 3, 4 players, stepovers, flicks, nice one-twos. If anything it was as confident as he’s looked in a City shirt. What’s changed is his luck. His striking of the ball when he shoots has never been particularly excellent, that’s not a function of his confidence.

Was my MOTM last night, thought he was excellent his movement off the ball is a joy and the goals will come he just needs the rub of the green.
