Gabriel Jesus joins Arsenal

How do we feel Arsenal will manage with their PL title challenge, with him potentiaily being out of the team for 3 months?
They need a goal scorer with or without Jesus.

Jesus never has scored enough goals, he has long periods of no goals, a very, very good player, superb pro with a wonderful attitude but never a top striker in a million years.

I'm gutted for him and I hope his injury clears up quicker than the 3 months they are talking about.
It severely hurts Arsenal's challenge but I take no pleasure in that. Loved Jesus as a Blue and want him to do well at Arsenal. (Bar Zinc the rest can fuck off though :-) )

It's good news for City, but I've got all the time in the world for him and I know how much he will have wanted a great World Cup with his nation so I'm gutted for him. I think he's already proved to everyone what City fans already knew, and he'll have plenty of time to keep proving it for Arsenal, but he he's had one poor World Cup, and an injury where Brazil look like favourites, and for those Brazilian lads it's everything.

Yep

Yep, one of the reasons we went to a false nine was because of his inconsistency and regular bouts of mental flakiness.
He had plenty of opportunities to succeed Sergio but he couldn’t be relied on over a season and lets face it, instead of stepping up he effectively went hiding from responsibility when he decided he wanted to be a winger instead of a striker.
Good player when things are going his way but lets see where he and Arsenal are in May.
Predicted a while ago that he and Sterling would start well and some people on here would lose their minds, before normal service is resumed later in the season. And I still stand by that
1/2 ain't too bad!

Since Jesus came back from his recent injury, what has been Arsenals form?
I think they have only won a couple of games.
He has been scoring but Arse not winning.

His first game back was Fulham away from memory as a sub, they were on a really good winning streak at that point, after that they battered Leeds and Palace and think Jesus featured.. but then it all went downhill (for them) after the dippers game. 4 goals in total since his return.

I really like Jesus he's a fantastic player, He's not and never going to be a 25/30 goal a season player.

He's not selfish enough to hang around the box for the entire game, He drops deep, With City and Arsenal you'd often see him at left back and right back positions trying to win the ball back. His movement up front is exceptional also, Do people not realise why Martinelli and Saka arr having their best ever seasons...Because Jesus movement is creating spaces for the wide men.

The stick the lad gets is unbelievable. Football fans ard thick as shit these days, Too many twats concerned about "stats" and talking bollocks on "YouTube" social media fans. Fucking idiots.

It's funny, I think defending a number 9 who misses sitters and scores 1 in 3 games because they press well is quite a recent phenomenon!
Arsenal were 5th last season. All this season they've been top of the league and still top as things stand. A large part of that is down to Jesus. Along with the spaces he creates for Martinelli and Saka.

People have short memories, He was a brilliant servant at City playing major parts in title success and scoring many vital goals along the way.

Arsenal fans giving out about him on Wednesday night about how many times he touched the ball. We stopped any supply of the ball to Arsenal's front three completely. Odegaard, Xhaka and Partey were non existent because we didn't give them any time on the ball and cut out supply lines.

It's easy to point the finger at the centre forward. But without Jesus they wouldn't be were they are now that's for sure.

For what it's worth, I agree with all that. I think he's the second or third best striker in the country who has a bit of a habit of wilting in the biggest games and can't always be backed to score a killer goal when the time comes. I reckon he's delivered what Arsenal needed from him on the first attempt, but it might not be enough to get them over the line.
