The club interview with him to say thanks was excellent. He really is a top guy and has made a massive contribution. I really believed him when he said that the club and fans were in his heart for ever. I wish him every success apart from against us. Alvarez has some big boots to fill.

lets be honest, he couldnt for us, why he was never a regular starter up top and moved to the wing.
yes hes great lad, works his balls off and gives it all but he had faults.

Playing as ''the striker'' will really help him. I genuinely wished he stayed ..would have helped Haaland so much..but its obvious why he couldn"t stay..he needs to be no 1 in world cup year
He scored 95 goals, not 25 or something. And we as a team were scoring a lot of goals with him. We all hope that having a much better finisher in Haaland will help us score more goals. But that's not guaranteed. 99 league goals last season and 150 in all competitions: that's more than Ferguson's United and Klopp's Liverpool have managed, with some of the best finishers in the world.
Reckon *proper* finishing and *proper* defending are a bit overrated among fans and pundits. The overall system effects of having players like Jesus may go beyond simple stats about goals and assists (even though Jesus' goal involvements per minutes are actually outstanding).
Really, really hope we are much better with Haaland and break all goalscoring records in England, it's not guaranteed though. Fortunately, in Alvarez we may have signed a great *system* player, and thus a great replacement for Jesus.

His goal record for us is right up there with the best in the Prem!
He’s a fantastic player who will probably peak at Arsenal unfortunately .
Personally , gutted he’s gone tbh.
Hopefully Alvarez can become as good.

Not surprised at all to see him banging the goals in for Arsenal. Quality player, quality person and a first class professional. Underappreciated by some but Arsenal have got themselves a bargain.

Alvarez was very Jesus like yesterday I thought. Perfect fit. Haaland is a very different animal and we will need to learn to get the best from him.
