True, time will tell. This lad is obviously a huge talent though, no doubt.

My real problem though is that I've been using his apparent snub of the rags as ammunition via text, will really come back to bite me on the arse if we miss out..

My fate is in Txiki's hands now.
Get a grip ffs . Sorry, not as polite as Ric, I know , but are you that insecure

Guys, save the stupid comments, pictures and gifs for the generic topics in this forum, keep the player threads sensible please.

People see the thread bumped and want to read information of relevance.

Cheers.

Currently on a deal with Palmeiras until December 2019, Brazilian Olympic international winger/forward Gabriel Jesus (19) is getting more and more likely to join Manchester City. His agent, Cristiano Simoes, told calciomercato.com:

"Inter? Not likely to happen. We are in deep talks with City right now. We are working on some contract issues".

Gabriel Jesus is also tracked by Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid, but seems now closer and closer to Citizens.

Personally from who I've saw so far they're 2 completely different players
I agree with you on that slightly

However, not trying to get anyone's hopes up but when Neymar was playing in Brazil, all the fancy stuff, tricks, flicks and performances more often than not came in Brazil's equivalent of the league cup.

From what i've heard/seen Gabriel Jesus has been very good in much higher standard competitions, such as the league where I believe his stats are better than Neymar's at that age. Some Brazilians are saying he's the best young player in recent years. Lets hope we get this one done soon.

British media has caught on.

Ducker displaying his incompetence yet again - claims we would loan back Jesus to Palmeiras because of work permit issues. Apparently he's the only football journalist who's covered this story to not know about his loan back being a requisite condition of the transfer, nor the new WP rules, under which Jesus would comfortably find a Permit thanks to the £26m fee.

So if the deal gets done are we getting him, or will he go back to Brazil on loan? Don't usually follow these transfer stories until they're across the line. Too much past disappointment.

On a happy note, if he signs, we'll have two Jesuses! Surely we can find one decent cross between the two of them.

He will finish out the current season which ends in December, and get him in the January window. He and his entourage are very particular about his development so he may want to play in Copa Libertadores which means we won't see him till around this time 2017. Even tho he is 19, he's not one for the bench.

Back on loan to finish the season. Season ends in December

Apparently United are going to hijack this deal now... clearly some very bored "journalists" out there.
I don't think United is interested in hijacking anything. It's just dull media types making stuff up. And even duller United fans lapping it up.

We are the only team about to sign him. We beat out Barca, Real and Inter Milan. Pep making the call seemed to be the decider.

If we fail to sign him (a highly unlikely scenario) it will be because things broke down last minute btw the parties. I.e we find out something that doesn't suit us, or the Brazilian club, player or his agent tried a fast one that turned us off.

We are not going to lose out because some other club tried to sign him or scupper the deal. That possibility is practically non-existent.

Like has been said and reported ad nauseum, Advanced stages of signing. Let the professionals work.
