If arsenal fans honestly believe clichy is the weak point in their defence I think they are going to get a rather nasty shock next season.

Arsenal defence has two weakness. Clichy and overall lack of arial ability. Clichy gets caught alot of the times which puts alot of pressure on CBs. I think you underestimate how much a left/right back can damage the CBs with his mistakes.

yes i saw and he struggled. But you could give him pass as its his first season. But his lack of pace is worrying

when you say he gets caught what do you mean and who normally cover's clichy when he goes forward?

If thats the case, maybe we should be concentrating on the strength of Arsenals defence, Almunia, Squillachi and Djourou.

Or maybe not.

This Clichy was the next big thing a few seasons ago and I still believe he will turn out good :)

Christ what is up with this thread Clichy is going to be a great addition to our squad.
Every player has weakness in there game so why are we concentrating on that instead of what he's good at.
At last we are going to have full backs with bags of pace to attack down the wings that are going to cause problems for every time next year.
Ok he might drift out of position but so does Kolarov and that didn't harm us thats much did it.
So for the price he could be the bargain of the summer

I have had SSN on since 7.30 and they haven't said anything about a medical today, they have just mentioned in the Transfer news bit that a deal is getting closer, in other words they know feck all !!
