Don't go to far ahead in the books. Honestly watch the show and only read up to the same point in the show. That way you get a brilliant TV show to watch and all the extra back story from the books.

If Prince William died in real life without children Kate Middleton would not automatically become Queen in the future. The Throne would instead pass to Prince Harry to keep the throne in the royal family (it's their throne after all).

So what would happen to Kate Middleton? Would she just be told to do one? Become a Duchess? Be forced to get it on with Harry? Get in a car accident?

Probably.

I can't see the thrown being passed to Tommen. He's hardly been in the show/book. And if he does I can't see him being on it long for the same reason. Maybe Gendry rows up on the shore next week and spills the beans hmmm
I know who did the deed on Joff so just trying to work out what happens based on that. Obviously, I don't want to know but it's fun to theorise

I've never read the books but you could clearly see the uncomfortable disgust in Margery's face when Joffery was humiliating Tyrion. Are you suggesting she did the deed ?

That is my reasoning hun, the fact you can't see it, but you can well see him reasoning it away afterwards and we would all probably be like "fucking yes Jamie you brutal top man you".
He has seen the world now and knows kings landing is veneer of order.
He has seen the chaos now that can happen and he has been freed from that stigma of family etc etc, he is his own man now.

The evolution of Jamie's character is one of the best parts of the whole story.

Yeah I liked Khal Drogo and Ned Stark, but I think GRRM was trying to break some common fantasy rules. The first one about the usual "there is a prophesy which comes true at the end" so the whole "Drogo/Denerys's son will rule the world" but it actually all goes horribly wrong. The second was the killing off of what we think is the central character in the first book/season.

At least the Imp is a survivor. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up outlasting the whole lot of them.
