Still in shock think i will watch it again!

Eyes popping everywhere :)

Couldn't watch it again, apart from the tits scene ;) far to brutal and heart wrenching, tbh wasn't really that arsed when he died in the books but man did Pedro Pascal do a fantastic job in bringing that character to life, why do we only get 10 episodes, they miss out enough material to do at least 15/16 per series, so frustrated that they have hurried a few quality fights like this one and the one between Brienne and Jamie.

I actually think they got the length of the fights spot on. It's so unrealistic in other shows/films where the sword fights go on for about 30 minutes parrying galore when in reality the average sword fight only lasted a few minutes before someone got done in.

It's fantasy though, i would prefer them to stick to as near the books as they can.

Do you have any idea how expensive GoT is to produce?

Haha no idea Mr tv exec but i'm guessing that it is a very profitable venture because they paid George RR Martin a hell of a lot of money for the rights, Do you know how much merchandise HBO sell?

They still have to work to a budget, and that's roughly $60 - $70 million per season, quite possibly more than that now. If they believe they can tell the story in 10 episodes instead of 16, that's a saving of around $40 million. No matter how profitable it is, $40 million is nothing to be sniffed at.

Also generally speaking, HBO don't do more than 13 episodes of anything per season (The Sopranos, The Wire etc).

Of course they have to work to a budget and i'm guessing the budget is set to produce 10 episodes a season, if they made 12-13 the budget would then be set for that.

It is fantasy, but once you get past the dragons and magic, it's actually a lot more realistic than other fantasy.
