Game of Thrones(no spoilers)

Re: Game of Thrones

Brilliant series. Can't wait for the second season to start!

Emelia Clarke + Nakedness = win

Re: Game of Thrones

Hopefully the second season goes well and the third book (A Storm of Swords) is filmed. Global reaction to the "Red Wedding" (without spoiling anything) would be interesting to say the least. ;D

Game of Thrones

Seen the first series really good looking forward to season 2!

The first 3 books were can't put down books! George R R Martin let himself down in the next two plodding and a chore to get through

Re: Game of Thrones

Only just seen the first series. There's like three stories in one, all coming together. The Dragons around that woman, the zombies over the wall and that evil little cnut of a kid king. Can't wait. Hope there's more shagging too.

This is a tough one the books give you so much more back story. The twist in the plot though are bloody brilliant and if you don't read the books. Well you're probably in for seeing one of the best TV shows ever made as long as you avoid spoilers.

Personally after watching the first series I read all the books. I'm sort of 50/50 though if I shouldn't have as there is some seriously epic stuff coming up.

The problem with reading the books IMO is the series isn't complete. Sod knows how long it will take either as the first 3 books took 4 years. The last 2 books though took 11 years as they were supposed to be one book but got split in to two. Then you've got the fact that George RR Martin is 62 so sod knows if he will actually complete the series. At least he's told the end of the story to two of the producers for a Game of thrones. So we should get to see the end of the story one way or another.

Re: Game of Thrones

For those interested the 1st 5 books are on Play. Only £20, think I'll get these.

Re: Game of Thrones

I am having proper geekasms over this. I read all the books after watching the first series so I know what happens but am still excited for it nonetheless. The first 3 books are exceptional. I can't wait to see how HBO will do it. The trailers look superb.

Re: Game of Thrones

So let me get my head around this...

I watched the first series... is that the first book 'A Game of Thrones'... then the immanent 2nd is 'A Clash of Kings'... although 'a song of ice and fire' is the book series?
