Game of Thrones(no spoilers)

Just got into this. I'm glad I missed it in a strange way because it means I can watch it twice a day instead of once a week.
I'm getting the first series on sky+. How many are there? And is there a box set?

Two series so far. Third series starts next March. Box set of Season 1 is out, Season 2 will probably be released just before Season 3 starts.

These are the best books I have ever read, I couldn't recommend these enough, I just hope George RR Martin doesn't die before they are finished, he looks decrepit :)

Like his drink too much it's said, so there are worries that could happen. He's writing the next book faster than the most recent one at least. Robert Jordan died before Wheel of Time could be finished (although I hated that series and people say it drags on and on and on), I wonder if Martin has a coauthor in place just in case like Jordan did.

I think he said he wouldn't allow anyone to continue the books if he died.

Nice one. Thanks for that.

is it going to be full of tits (no spoilers for those that havent seen it) and arses?

I don't think there's been a single episode without any tits or arse

Also the use of the word "****" is fantastic.

It easily has the best line in a film I have ever heard.

Bronn: The little King's backed up. Clogged from balls to brains.

Tyrion: You think dipping his wick will cure what ails him?

Bronn: There's no cure for being a ****.

I'm at the same point of you then.

Sorry if I was confusing but these are what have been released.

Game of Thrones
Clash of Kings
Storm of Swords: 2 Parts
Feast for Crows
Dance with Dragon: 2 Parts

I meant that Parts 1 an 2 (2 actual seperate books) of A Dance with Dragons are available at £3odd each on Amazon.

Ahh, cool, I believe the 7 titles are:

A Game of Thrones
A Clash of Kings
A Storm of Swords
A Feast for Crows
A Dance with Dragons
The Winds of Winter
A Dream of Spring

I've got the first 5 on my Kindle, don't think the others are out for a few years?

In the meantime you might want to check-out the three prequel novellas, set in the same world, roughly 90 years before the main events:
The Hedge Knight (1998)
The Sworn Sword (2003)
The Mystery Knight (2010)

Cheers for that, will do.

I watched series one a few weeks ago - good stuff and the ending left me wanting Season 2 immediately. I'm amazed it isn't out yet. They could have made a killing in the lead up to Christmas.

Amazon pissed me off with an e-mail earlier today showing Series 2 for sale on blu-ray - but with March 2013 in the small-print!
