I was just about to ask the same thing

I believe a PM will be the most appropriate for a reply.

TCIB - a question, all theoretical of course. If one had downloaded the .MK2 files (at around 2GB a episode) and wanted to convert them to .avi, what would the best program to do this be?

Finished season 2 last Saturday, glad my friend got me to watch it, fucking amazing show.

I'll get you a tool for that conversion now, i'll assume you want a 1-click solution and not a hard manual fiddly one.

You want them to go to sd from 720p ?

The 1080p bluray rips are full hd high quality rips of the original bluray in a smaller filesize.
If bluray has leaked then very soon the dvd's should appear.

Sod it i'll pm you now.

I think it's .mk2, maybe .mkv, but they don't play on a PS3, which apparently .avi files do, theoreticaly.

Higher the bitrate the better the pic quality, but also larger filesize.

Anymore than 3000Kbps is massive overkill imo.

Just a touch ;) when I use to convert I'd use handbrake convert to m4v in 720p with 750kbps picture was excellent files pretty small also
