I'll finish S4 just at the right time to whet my appetite for S5 to the max, maybe 10 days before.

I think i have played a blinder here not reading the books first.
Almost every time i read a book before seeing the film the movie is a total failure.

I prefer the books and it makes the tv series less confusing, that first series must have been hard for people trying to remember all the characters,which houses they represent,where are they in relation to the other houses and on the map, past histories and past wars, bad blood etc, they have brought a book out now that helps called the History of Westeros written by the guys who run <a class="postlink" href="http://www.westeros.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.westeros.org/</a>

I gave up in the end. I thought it was great and was really enjoying it but when you have to start rewinding and rewatching or googling to try and keep up or suss out who is who it became a chore.

I will get around to the books and probably rewatch at some point as this is my sort of thing, but it became too much hard work.

Well it is the most illegally downloaded tv series in history, if fantasy is your thing then it doesn't get any better than this.
