Don't understand why many on social media are so irritated by the character development of Daenerys becoming the mad queen. It was written in the stars from the moment she allowed her brother to be murdered by the dothraki.

I’ve always found Dany to be more than a little irritating with the pompous titles and “I-am-the-savior” attitude. It’s always been about her so this story line makes sense to me. On the other hand, I do agree with critics that there was an almost comical amount of suspension of disbelief required as several characters inexplicably survived multiple “fatal” events, at least momentarily.

Yeah, I literally said that out loud to the missus as she rode off. A bit heavy handed for me, but I suppose that is nitpicking.

good episode but it was silly how in the previous one they fired 3 arrows at one of her dragons and they all hit yet in this one they had seemingly a hundred of the massive bows and not one got anywhere near

Trying to wrap this up so quickly has led to some implausible moments and dues ex machina being needed. Not really bad writing so much as the clock running out on the series. Kind of like a college kid writing a timed essay who penned a brilliant intro, good developed middle, then looked up at the clock and realized he only had 15 minutes left to wrap things up and was forced to neglect some details while throwing the kitchen sink at others.

Ultimately, the lack of a completed set of books from GRRM is the (for lack of a better word) culprit for those that think S8 has missed its mark.

Why did Khaleesi go ape shit on the towns people? I can understand her destroying the towers, fortifications and the armies in-spite of any collateral damage, but it didn't really make sense to then just destroy the whole town where normal people were. I know they're trying to turn her in to the mad queen but its like shes gone nuts in one and a half episodes. They're fucking this up.
anyway, arya is going to fuck her up last epsiode.
