Garcia and Kolarov....

Garcia's fucking gash, how he got in the Spanish team is beyond me, even the likes of Lee Catermole would offer far more than he does.

Kolarov's good if you are playing against teams that will park the bus but as has been said he earns far too much to be a 2nd choice left back, I'd love to replace him with Shaw.

Garcia is better than any of Man Utd's midfielders

Best header of the ball at City, Best tackler. Doesn't give the ball away. Reads the game really well. Can play central defence as well as anyone.

In a game where we are struggling to break down the opposition, you don't need a sitting midfielder. That's the issue. Not his quality.

Clowns :-)

Are you on fucking drugs? Garcia's not fit to lace Carrick's boots, Tom Zidane's overrated but I'd have him ahead of Garcia. Easily. Giggs and Scholes are past it but I'd pick them over Garcia, I'd pick Powell and , Jones and Anderson... I'd even have a constipated Fletcher before Garcia. He's fucking garbage. I'd love to be proven wrong but I doubt it.

Marvin talks nonsense.

He can say Garcia got called up but did he get started and is he a future for Spain, I think not, why? Because they have Busquets and Martinez.

Garcia is a squad player, not a key player for City's future. This is why Marvin should be ignored. He talks no sense.

In all honesty I'd have Carrick, Luiz, Sandro, Tiote, Lucas, Barry and Fellaini over him. Now considering we are trying to become and elite team I think the names I mentioned tell you all you need to know. Garcia is simply short of the required grade to become a top player for a top team.

IMO the best we can do is play Barry and Milner instead of Barry and Garcia. When fit I'd start Rodwell too. The only use for Garcia is when Barry isn't fit or when we need to shut games down.

Garcia is a better player than he has shown, but he may not be cut out to play Premier League. In a team which covers for his deficiencies & makes use of his attributes, I think he probably is pretty good.

For City, it looks like he is, & will be, a complete failure.

Mancini has signed him, along with Kolarov, Rodwell, Nastasic, Maicon, in the hope of playing 3 at the back. DeJong was too small, but Rodwell, Garcia, Nastasic are all people who can knock the ball around as a back 3. So far only Nastasic has showed an ability to actually play in the team, although I rate Rodwell for the future, if he ever gets fit.

I hope Garcia is the last signing for that system, & we start signing players for other systems instead, otherwise I fear it will cost Mancini his job next season.

I've always been sympathetic to Garcia and im not going to change that now. When i watch him i see a player who is desperate to impress. Perhaps too desperate. There are moments when he looks way off the quality we need, he gets sucked in to the ball frequently, which leaves big gaps and i think thats because he wants to make game changing tackles. There are times when you see the player he could be, he left two players for dead in the middle of the park and played a few decent passes, but these moments seem to be when he doesn't have time to think. He doesn't seem to have any mates outside the spanish speaking collective either which i find worrying. The position he plays is almost all about trust and if you cant communicate confidently with the players around you youre fucked.

We should sell Garcia in the summer imo.

As for the 3-5-2, I can see the method in the madness but 3-5-2 means would only work in Italy where play is slower and more tactical. You are correct in saying here he's doesn't fit. He's simply too slow for the game. He'd prosper somewhere like Milan or Napoli imo.

There is a class player in there somewhere. but last night he made Gareth Barry look like Colin Bell when it came to movement/covering.

In a packed Barca style midfield, he probably wouldn't get left on his own so much & would just win loads of tackles & headers & distribute, but in the Prem, you have to cover & close down big spaces at times & I'm not sure he will ever be able to do that.

Either the team or the player has to make a big change if he is to fit in.

A 3-5-2 in the Premier League needs loads of pace imo. Out wide, in def mid & at least one, maybe two, at the back. Keegan's 3 at the back system was arguably as good or better one than Mancini's with SWP as wingback & Distin, Dunne, Van Buyten (Micah?) at cb. Swings and roundabouts to compare.

Still nowhere near a title or Champions Lg winning unit then or now.
