Garden Birds and wild birds thread.

A mother starling feeding the much fatter baby starling, taken in my garden, ten minutes ago.

Some great pics blues, keep them coming: )

Moved in my house 18 months ago and last spring a pair of Jackdaws nested under eaves of my house where there's a small hole they get through to the nest. They occasionally make quite a racket and I intended to seal the hole up but didn't get round to it.

They are nesting now, chicks woke me up this morning squabbling over a worm or summat. Anyway, I love birds and animals and I'm glad that my home is their home.

I was lay on my bed yesterday and wish I'd have got a picture of a parent inquisitively weighing me up watching it. They're such intelligent beautiful birds and I haven't the heart to seal up their home.

We have a staring match between us and the robin every time he lands on our veranda outside the patio door. He sits there looking at us for a good few minutes before going in the hedge. We daren’t move a muscle because they can easily get scared and abandon a nest.
