Garden Birds and wild birds thread.

Bird bath definitely! Although the bloody wood pigeons just about empty the thing when they have a dip.
I have a crow that uses mine to soften his dead baby starlings down, have to hose bones and feathers out fairly regularly. Doesn't seem to stop others using it mind...I guess everything hates starlings equally

Yellow hammer yesterday . A rare visitor, not sure what it eats but nothing of interest on my bird feeder, so it did one.

just thrown several stones at a local cat that had a young black bird in its grasp in my garden, despise cats for their natural cruelty, they remind me of certain horrible people in this life

Hummingbirds are great fun to watch. They'll come right up in your face and just hover there. Or whizz by your head like they're about to attack.

I have a bunch of Mockingbirds. Thankfully they're all paired up. Single males will go through their repertoire all damn night when looking for a mate.

Hummingbird warfare watching is a common pastime in the summer, watching those aggressive little turds is fun, nearly had an eye or two poked out

Is it just me or has the magpie population exploded over the last 15 or so years seem to be everywhere now, fuckers sometimes sit on our fence making that annoying clicking fucking noise feel like investing in a blunderbust to sort them out ...

Went to a little island off the east coast of Ireland on Saturday and seen these beauty's and I'm sure you'd see some of them in the odd garden

I am generally up for the dawn chorus - as those on other threads will know.

I am really lucky where I live due to the number of trees around, but also I have acted to build an environment that attracts a wide range of birds.

The most popular are all variety of Tits (yes I know) but we have Wrens, Starlings, Robins, Nuthatch, and also Woodpeckers

Lots of others as well. Just cannot remember them all.

Thankfully only the occasional pigeon but the Magpies are annoying.

All very therapeutic.
