Gardening

I must say the Blue Moon Gardeners' Time thread is preferable to the various political threads.
Will plan for for the first tidy up tomorrow whilst walking the dog on a nice sunny day.
Spring is always a good time to be a Blue.

Lawns cut last weekend and rolled, removed the moss and seeded a few patches, jet washed the path and patio, bulbs showing in the beds, it's a sunny afternoon down here able to sit out in our cabin with the doors open watching City win, and Brighton mess things up!
Getting the pizza oven going tomorrow spring has certainly sprung here.

I know it's not gardening as such but at 60 years old and a year of lockdown I've discovered I'm in no fit state to dig a French drain, by hand, down the side of the house. Had to disturb a wysteria, a clematis and a few other climbers but hopefully it'll cure the damp problem. I'll feel it in the morning.

Been feeding the birds all through winter, but they've have made a right mess of the lawn under the bushes especially the Doves and Wood Pigeons

Try climbing hydrageas, they are ideally suited to north facing ie no sun
Cheers I've been suggested this before and I know my local nursery has some, so that's tomorrow's job. When I say no sun, it will never get direct sun ever at any point, where I plan to put it. See how we go!
