They replayed the Spuds/City game over here last week and if you remember the gilt edged Crouch header he put wide at 0-1, that came from an absolutely sublime first time Bale volley/cross. The lad has amazing talent, and would be twice the player he is now under our Bob.

Around 5 mins in this vid. Of course its only one little highlight, but can you imagine our forwards getting service like that?

Dzeko would be a different player & we wouldn't be struggling to score v WBA & Sunderland or Napoli for that matter.
At home maybe we could have

Nasri...........................Yaya

Silva......... Bale........

Aguero.......

Dzeko......

Tomorrows Mirror claims united are after Modric and Bale rofl

Not as bad as...

Manchester United are gearing up to take advantage of Harry Redknapp's departure as Tottenham manager by signing two of the London club's best players - midfielder Luka Modric, 26, and winger Gareth Bale, 22.

Isn't the Eurozone crisis enough? Do Greece own many ManUre shares?

I'd have him in a heartbeat but the £40 million mentioned is too much for him in my opinion, He would definitely bring a side to our play that is needed but not worth £40 million.

Who would you sign instead then? and how much would you spend on said player?

Only a couple of million more than Liverpool paid for Carrol is the answer I would give. :-)

That's Understandable but then again it was silly season when Liverpool started throwing all their pennies about and I couldn't ever see us going that way.

In all honesty I can't come up with too many big name players that haven't already been mentioned in other threads or would be obtainable but I think the price of £40 million plus for Bale seams excessive too me.

If Bale puts in transfer request to leave and throws toys out of pram can see that figure dropping 10m. Pure speculation on my part, but in all honesty if Bert wants him, Khaldoon wants him, HRH wants him who gives a shit what he costs.

-- Sun Jun 17, 2012 7:57 pm --

Oh and didn't Bale say he would gladly join us about a year ago.

would love him at the club hes a great player with a really good attitude and very ambitious a bit like kun, i'll be happy with whoever the gaffer brings in.

-- Sun Jun 17, 2012 7:04 pm --
