Reading the 'It's quiet' thread and the players we're being linked with, it seems those running the club know we need to address the lack of pace and direct running, so surely, if Bale is available, we should be in for him?

Pretty sure we'd know at board level if he was being touted around by Madrid, or if Chelsea were talking to Bale's agent; quite often agents would probably tell us to put prices up so they get a bigger cut. I just can't believe if there is a chance we could get such a brilliant player who ticks every single box we need in our team, that we wouldn't be seriously pursuing him. If he ends up at rags or Chelsea then in my opinion we'd have seriously fucked up, unless we tried everything and the player just refused to come. We should do all we can to sign him.

Subs: Willy, Clichy, Denayer, Lopes, Dzeko, Fernandinho, Bony.

Others then with suspensions and whatever: Navas, Kelechi, Sagna, Demichelis, Fernando

Firmino is an out and out number ten from what I have seen, he also plays as a false 9 for Brazil.

Guys Unless someone can post a normal message saying City have interest and Real are willing to do business then I'll believe it. Just can't see Real selling this summer or City paying that money.

The rags have spent the best part of 300 million in the past 2 seasons there will not be another big splurge by them on attacking players defence and central midfield will be there priority in the summer! Where as the shekels are off us with no ffp to answer for 3 seasons!

Chelsea have other areas that are more of a concern, Hazard and Cuadrado cover the wide areas so they already have the balance.

Upfront and defence are their main objectives this summer with Benteke and Varane high on their shopping list, both typical Mourinho type players, power and muscle over finesse.
