Watch on - he is Madrid bound.

Maybe so.

What I dont understand is this, "we have no chance, he wont come here" attitude that seems to prevail around here when one look at our squad says different.

Blueinsa, I am as big a Blue as they come, I have fought the corner for forty seasons. Just cannot see this happening, only being honest.

Maybe my op misled you mate.

I dont think he will be a blue either and im not even sure we want him.

My post was aimed at those who would claim we had no chance if it was a Rochdale player we were after, thats all.

His theatrics will suit La Liga down to the ground, where he will no doubt enjoy rolling around ;-)

Understood Blue.

Bale will end up at Real imo - he will be playing wide right/wide left with tranny

Real will not sell tranny boy he is too valuable to them. What they will do is fund the purchase of Bale by selling Di maria + Higuain or Benzema

Why would Madrid sell Ronaldo?
He paid the purchase fee a long time ago, so anything now is profit, regardless of how much wage increase they offer him.

So if they sell a couple from Higuain, Benzema, Di Maria, etc, I am sure they can put the rest to, to purchase Bale.

I don't think him and Ronaldo would work Bale might outshine Tranny and he won't like that!

Three questions.
1) How much is bale WORTH?
2) How much WOULD he cost if city enquired?
3)How much would YOU pay?
I would say
1) £50M
2) £70M
3) £60M

All opinions of course.

Tax rate is going up to 52% from 25%. He wants parity with Messi and for that to happen it would slaughter Madrids finances, he wants more image rights too apparently.

He's happy to stay there and run contract down and leave it seems. The biggest Bosman transfer of all time is coming in 2 years and that's when the rags get their man :(<br /><br />-- Sun May 19, 2013 9:22 pm --<br /><br />

£30m + Dzeko.

Money wise he's going to break the Torres barrier imo, cheaper for Real and more expensive for English team ala Modric, spiting ones face.....

I'd pay that all day for him!!

In my opinion, there are TWO main factor's deciding Bale's future; Mourinho and Rooney.

If Mourinho goes, Ronaldo stays and Real target a main striker in the transfer window.

If Mourinho somehow stays, Ronaldo will leave before you can say 'tranny' and Real tie-up Bale. Ronaldo could potentially go to the highest bidder... or go back to the rags. For him to return to United they'd need a substantial fee and to cover the wages. Someone would have to be off-loaded..

Rooney may decide a lot for United. If they choose to sell and get a decent figure they take a big risk on the current squad dynamic and strengthening a rival. But if they go that route they'll want another marquee name/shirt seller... Bale or Ronaldo maybe.

My gut feeling is Rooney to Chelsea along with Mourinho and Bale to the rags.

Bale has also tweeted too many raggy things like congratulating Fergie or saying he looked upto Giggs as a youngster. The diving culture at United will earn him less yellows as refs bend over for them.

I really don't think Levy will sell Bale to an English club. United couldn't afford him anyway. Since when do they pay £50m+ for a single player? That isn't the Glazers MO. It'll have to be one of the Spanish giants or one of the foreign super-wealthy unless Bale makes demands to remain in the Prem. In which case only City and Chelsea could be in contention for the sort of money Levy would want, and he certainly wouldn't sell him to us.

So if Bale wants to leave, and an English club comes in for him, he'd have to really push for it. Though saying that, Modric really pushed to come here and Levy wouldn't budge.

True. Think a big factor in appointing Moyes may be that he fits in with the Glazer business model.

Utd can afford anyone they want, every year the same thing is said, Utd is broke they cant afford this player or that player but have spent more money then us in the last two transfer windows.

Just got a feeling that one of Valencia/Young will be sold along with Nani to accomodate such a transfer. BT money plus all these sponsorship deals may warrant even them spending just so they are not toppled by others. We'll keep our fingers crossed they don't!

In their entire time at United the Glazers haven't once done anything to risk losing money. Spending £50m on Bale would be completely out of character for them. They don't care about the club or about football. They just care about sucking money out of it and subsidising their debt. I agree that Moyes was probably chosen because he's proven that he can work on a shoe string budget at Everton and stay successful (for them).

They can afford it, but the Glazers are only interested in the dollar signs. A £50m investment is not something they're likely to consider. RVP was out of contract, wanted to come and had Wenger by the balls. They'd never go above £40m if you ask me (if they'd even go that high), and history supports that assumption. Levy is going to extort whoever goes after Bale, I expect a transfer record. The idea of the Glazers parting with that kind of money is ludicrous imo.

We just have to go all out for him, whatever the cost. If we allow the rags to sign Bale this summer then the title race is already over. Chelsea will add a top quality striker and the rags will have Bale setting up RVP and scoring a shed load as well.

Basically this. Bale can play on either wing, in the middle and even as a left back if we have an injury so he'd be cheaper than overpaying for average players to fill the squad. He's only going to get better. Him and Falcao would be ridiculous.

If he is leaving we have to be in for him same as Falcao, both seem to be available and would walk into any team, which is the problem everyone will be after them and it will be tough to get them. But the first thing we need is a manager/head coach, how will we be able to convince players to move here when we cant tell them to role or the position they will be played?

As a couple of posters have said he will not be sold to another English club.
