We've been lucky KDB has been perpetually fit and played almost every game (and NOT so coincidentally we've been shit when he hasn't played at his best or not started, i.e. Wigan, United etc.) but I'd like to know your opinion if, God forbid, he misses a lot of games next season for whatever reason. Every position/player including the striker has been rotated throughout the season mostly seamlessly with the exception of KDB.What an absolute load of bollocks.
DeBruyne was brilliant last season, but if you think the team was “built around” him, then you don’t really understand how we play.
This team is built around a system. An idea. High line, possession, wide wingers, pressing. We missed Silva just as much when he was out, evidenced by the fact Silva recorded the best points per game record in the history of the league last season.
DeBruyne was brilliant, there’s a good argument that he was our best player last season. But the team was built around him? Don’t be daft.
