Great to hear that from Gareth Barry ..... Liverpool had finished runners up to the rags the season before he signed for us , and City halfway down .... but still he preferred the City vision , he knew what was coming!

And Liverpool were offering him MORE money than City .... that blows the mickey mousers gobby 'only gone for the money shite' right out of the water!

Superb player. Issue was that when he got showed up it was very difficult to watch with his lack of pace and he got pelters which made the headlines - mainly for England. I’d still have him in this team every week though, I think Pep would too.

Gareth was fabulous for us. We could do with a clone of him in the team now. Fern's legs are going, and as for Rodri, I remain to be convinced.

As a football fan, nobody wants to admit they can’t work out a player. I would watch Gareth a lot, and although I thought he was a very good player I couldn’t for the life of me work out what he was very good at!
All I do know was that we missed him if he wasn’t in the team. Then when he returned, we played better.... but I couldn’t work out how Gareth was making it better.
There, could have let that one slide now he’s retired!

In my opinion you didn't know what he did till he wasn't playing then it was obvious
