Gareth Barry Retires

Had played his part in our success and I wish him good luck in whatever he does in his is retirement.

All the best, and thanks for being part of such an iconic city team. If memory serves I think he started out as a left back in his career before they realised his left foot and strength were better suited to midfield (see, I did that without mentioning pace ;) )

Dependable, solid and smart - an ideal player. Anyone that David Silva voted for in the club PotY should be immensely proud of what he achieved.

I look forward to seeing what he does next.

Solid as a rock, model pro and all round good guy. Massively underrated by so many, mainly because of the WC when he was asked to try and cover the entire counter attacking German team despite being still unfit from injury (and shit slow to start with!)

Probably the most tactically astute English midfielder I can remember

All top teams need a Gareth Barry, great signing and key to our early success in the 'new era'.

A quietly class act. One of those that when not in the team he was badly missed. Quick thinking player and read the game beautifully. Enjoy retirement champion.
