WOO hold your horses he started the exact same way last season at the club played well at the begining of the season and then it went belly up for him and he lost his form.
Yes I agree he has started well BUT IF it goes like last season I will wait before I say anything good or bad about Barry. We will see just how good he is when we really need the players to be strong going into the new year.

its doing my head in now all this last season this season comparisons with barry!

there is not much difference at all in Barry's performances from last season till now ,his quality of football was and is still the same the only difference is his fitness levels he was flogged to death last season because there was nobody else but this season barring a ton more injury's he will be 100% most if not all games he plays because with have a good depth within the squad.

leighton you are very blinded when it comes to barry all ways have been and all ways will be no matter the situation or circumstance!

I don't know Leighton's post history, (so sorry if I've pegged you wrong Leighton) but I did get the impression reading your post that Barry could play fantastic for 3 seasons, have 1 half of a dodgy season, then you'd say 'see I always told you he was crap'.

Anyone see the players ratings for last night game in today's evening news? (Barry 6) - (Jo 7) - (Tevez 8) Makes me wonder if they even watched the game.

Before anyone thinks I'm having a go at Jo or Tevez here, I'm not. They're just there to provide contrast to Barry.
Those ratings are laughable,Barry had a fine game last night.

Exactly. I though Barry stood out as one of out best players, yet in the evening news they gave him joint lowest mark with Yaya, De Jong and Hart. All 6's . Rubbish marking. They made Tevez man of the match too. I'm not saying he was crap, but he wasn't city's best player, not imho anyway.

what i find even stranger is the comment he made whilst giving him a 6.

"Much of his good work goes unnoticed" :)

Barrys consistancy over a season has always been a issue even when he was with Villa. So it was the same last season here. So I would reckon it will be more of the same again this year to be honest. I will give credit to him for starting off well but its like we have seen this all before from Barry over the years and on that reason I feel like he will not be the player we all wanted him to be.

If I were Mancini, Barry will be the second name in the team sheet after Carlitos .

1- He links the play very well
2- Defend and protect our back four
3- He is a warrior & winner

Top d.midfielder prob best english player in this position.
And he is getting better.
Well done to the lad. I for one like him but we dont have a playmaker to slot into midfield.
And dont get me started on the goal scorers!

your are really clutching at straws now Leighton ffs give it a rest.

the difference is that last season he was expected to be the creative player alongside Nige, now he can take his rightful position as a very important cog in the midfield possession machine without having that pressure on him
