ive been told its laporta!!! a mate emailed me yesterday saying he`d been told that city had offered cook the chance to show some humility and resign rather than be sacked, thus allowing him to get a nice little thank you payoff behind the scenes.
I seriously doubt we would get Laporta. Would be nice to get a CEO who knows something about football.
just passing on what ive been told mate?!? surely the football aspect isnt 100% a dealbreaker? dont forget the job that laporta did at barca so its not as if he doesnt know fuck all about football is it!!! have been told hes big mates with khaldhoon as well so maybe some mileage in it?

My thoughts are:-

Garry Cook was going to leave in the near future anyhow. His wife and child went back to the US to live and he was always gonna follow. This incident, while unfortunate, allows Khaldoon to put in place a new CEO, while showing a positive result from this whole Nedums Mum email story. The action of the resignation will end this chapter and a new one begins.

You could be right, cleverer men than me and you are running this club. Get's the press onside too. Appoint Platini CEO, 3 birds 1 stone. job done.

Are you back a few days early Didsbury Dave?

Can't let this one go withour comment, Skash.

Whilst I've become rather fond of twitter, you can't deconstruct the latest episode of Eastlanders (dum dum dum-dum dum dadadada) in 140 characters.

Your mates a WUM, he copied you in the email by mistake!!!

Re: Garry Cook resigns

Just had an email from Cook which I think he should have sent to Kia. It just says 'Fuck you you twat'. Might save it for 11 months before I run off to the press. Kia, Ned and his mum need an exclusion zone set up around them in my opinion. I seem to recall Ned shouting his mouth off last year. Why dont Sunderland want him?? Well done on your advice Kia you twat

When's the medical booked for The Bridgewater??

I really like(d) La Porta...but didn't he manage to allow the biggest sporting club in the world to rack up HUGE debts...?

Re: Garry Cook resigns

David Dein is certainly someone who has the knowledge of all attributes of running a big Club well and working with rather than alongside a manager.
Haven't read all the pages and if this has already been raised, apologies, but I think he could do a great job for us and the way Arsenal have disintegrated since his departure say it all.
He is a man who commands respect at all levels in football and must be worth consideration, not sure how he stands on being relocated in the North, but surely we could offer him his holy grail now?

I did ask for your Twitter but alas was rebuked with 'Cabal members only'.
