Garth Crooks' Team of the Week

What a weird clueless miserable twat garth crooks is......

Puts Haaland in his team of the week but then says this about him

Everything he touches at the moment seems to fly into the back of the net. His goal against Wolves at the weekend was a mishit, and much was made of his finish against Borussia Dortmund in midweek; some even dared to compare it to Johan Cruyff's goal against Brazil in 1974. It wasn't in the same class, never mind the same competition. Haaland's late winner against his old club in the Champions League, while vital in Manchester City's quest to lift the elusive European title, was a scruffy lunge in a desperate attempt to make contact with the ball. Cruyff's, on the other hand, was a brilliantly controlled side-foot volley as the player remained upright and suspended in mid-air. Admittedly, goals are goals, but some are better than others.
That seems a whole lot more eloquent than Lard Crooks could manage. I fancy Stanley C has dictated it!

I wouldn't actually argue with what he's put, but I would point out that Haaland was about 3 feet higher up than Cruyff, so may have needed to be slightly less elegant. He didn't bother mentioning that.

Clueless idiot. Pep compared it to Cruyff's goal for Barca against Atletico Madrid and suggested not many would know it. No one has drawn comparisons to that legendary WC goal. Absolute clown.

It was a couple of weeks ago he was slating Lampard for publicly criticising the referee in an Everton game and then said the Leeds boss was rightly annoyed at the bad decisions they got again Brentford when he was sent to the stands.

Not sure how he is still employed.

He is deliberately setting out to rile City fans, the fat obnoxious slug.

The big fat blob going on about the Cruyff goal v Brazil in 1974, watch it on youtube it wasn’t anything special.

He should have compared it with the ‘Ghost goal’ in 1973 against Atletico Madrid. That was the really famous one and the one that Pep compared it with.

I find the Crooks team of the week a complete waste of time, and suspect he doesn’t even write it.
