Bottom line is this...

I want what's best for Manchester City Football Club. Ahead of such an important run of games what do we want, to go into tomorrow and the Carling Cup QF confident of winning, or more needless headlines?

We know where the Mail and Mirror and others get their headlines from. The fat southen dickheads employed by those ragtops that only dickheads read don't work for their living, they'll be on here gobbling up this guff.

Do we want what's best for the team and the club or don't we? If we do, then delete this nonsense and let's look forward to these next four imperative games. If we don't give a shit then let's make a huge deal out of it and unsettle the camp.

Cook's ballsed up, so what. If you're that offended write a letter to Khaldoon c/o the club, but let's not act like a bunch of kids and turn an error into headlines, ffs.

The posters that seem to have been there are saying it was a bit of a clanger and it's not the first blot on his copybook.

We live in a world of sound-bite media, partly created by Cook and his ilk, he may get away with it and I hope he does, but if it stays in the news for more than a couple of days (Campbell. A, a few years ago,) he may fall on his sword.

I don't really care if he's a fan, but it's a pretty bad error for a "top businessman" to make.

Lose his job? I doubt it, but pretty disappointing from a marketing man tasked with trying to raise our worldwide profile.

One of the reasons our club has been so unstable in the past is because of rash thinking by our owners and by our fans. We finally have some stability with sound minded people at the helm. Lets join em eh? Gary Cook is a business man so he probably wont be a City fan but I would rather have him running our club than Francis Lee.

What I am getting at is that our and indeed English Football's recent history has proved that you MUST employ the right people for the right jobs. Football is now a business, as well as a sport and I don't think anyone knows better than Gary Cook on the matter. He has done sterling job so far with re building the infrastructure of the club and helping to bring the clubs top signings such as Robinho and Tevez.

If people say he is just in it for the money then congratulations, your correct! Just like everybody else in Football! I would honestly been gutted hearing his mistake tonight but would never hold it against him after the job he has done so far.

Why are we constantly moaning about things when are future is brighter than it has ever been? Come on guys!

He's put his foot in his mouth a few times as far as I recall.

On the other hand, the off-the-field side of the club has moved forward light-years. We're fan focused. We've got the best website and innovative market. The new shirts are fantastic. And we've done well to get some excellent players to sign.

Has anyone got any substantial complaints about how the club is being run? If not, I'd suggest you count your blessings.

more than that, how many of you have had a beer or two tonight? The responses are pretty incredibly over the top.

If you look into the work he has put into the club you will find that the positives far outway the negatives!
